2010 Ticket Prices Going Up

Section 505

Recommended Posts

Just checked my account online and the invioce has been posted. And yup, after all the salary purging over the last week, Jerry is raising ticket prices.

Overall its a small increase. My seats are the cheapest in the house. Last year they were $38 each, now in 2010 they will be $39 each.

Now before you say "How can Jerry do that?" with the economy, and releasing players and not signing any. Don't forget that in 2002, after the Panthers went 1-15, Jerry raised ticket prices. He'll do it whenever he feels like it.

The Panthers are offering a payment plan for the first time this year:

That really does concern me....it's not like we are the Steelers or Packers where there is a 25-30 year waiting list to get a seat....there are ALOT of empty seats at every home game. Charlotte is a small market with a high unemployment rate....keep raising the price of tickets Jerry and you are gonna price the true fans right out.

This is one major disadvantages of having a stadium full of 90% PSL. Those people are either forced to buy the tickets at the price set, or lose their PSL. Well Jerry can pretty much set the price where he wants within some sort of reason, and people will pay.

My tickets went up a total of 6% when prices for everything else is coming down in this economy. Must be nice to be an NFL owner.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
