Kevin Curtis Cut!

The Eagles continue to dramatically alter their roster.

The latest big name to go is wide receiver Kevin Curtis, who was cut very shortly after the team released Darren Howard.

The move isn't surprising. Curtis was highly productive in his first season in Philadelphia, leading the team with 1,110 receiving yards. But injuries have limited him to just 12 games and 39 catches the last two years.

Curtis opened last season as a starter, but wound up with only six catches.

Smith, Jarrett....2 more roster spots at WR. Could draft a rookie and take chance. Could stay veteran one more year, hope Jarrett improves alot. Re-sign Moose and get Curtis?

What happens with Kenny Moore?

Depends on who is available when draft, panthers still have other needs and have a poor record with drafting receivers.

I have no clue why we would want to add a vet instead of taking our chances in a deep WR class. I would not mind seeing us use two of our picks on a WR/KR. Like i said in a previous thread i would like to see Double Trouble 2.0 the WR/KR version. If we add two guys that can contribute to the passing game and return game we would solidify a perennial weakness. Jacoby Ford and Andre Roberts. Antonio Brown and Taylor Price. Mardy Gilyard and Carlton Mitchell. It would be a combination of the 2nd and a later pick that i would use. If we could get good returns with short fields Stew and D-Will would mess us people. Also if teams have to account for someone other than Smith and help the development of Moore.

    • Kyler murray signed a 5 year 230 million dollar deal after his 4rth season (2022) where he made the playoffs once in those 4 years and played abysmal   His average, including injuries for those 4 years are below: 66% 21tds 3500yards 92qbr   Fast forward to Nov 2025  https://www.si.com/nfl/kyler-murray-cardinals-parting-ways-likely-imminent?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us Hes owed roughly 50 and 40 million against the cap for the next 2 years.  fuging nuts, you are essentially tying your hands behind your back and trying to compete I could do Tua as well but you guys get the point.   In closing, please for the love of God Teppers please dont put this franchise in a blender by extending Bryce.
    • Sure we could use an edge rusher or two but the rookies are doing well for rookies. Saying edge rusher is as much of a need as QB is preposterous. We could need to bring back Everette Brown as a starting rusher and it still wouldn’t be as big a need as QB.
    • The way I look at it: pie: good point, I agree, general positive reaction  beer: cheers. Can be regarding a positive thing or negative. “Here’s to another year being held back by our QB play.” “Cheers” fire: a hot take I agree with, or a great point. Upgrade from pie.  eggplant: that gets me hard. Not you want to give that poster the D, but like if you’re someone who really appreciates good defense and someone posts a stat that our defense is top ten then you post the eggplant emoji
