Rescue Me called, it want's it's transistional theme back.

But I see where your coming from...ha

Did Rescue Me use that? Dang, they been off the air for so long I can't remember......will be surprised if Buckcherry's "Rescue Me" doesn't find it's way into one of the episodes in the upcoming season. Good groove, good lyrics...seems a natural fit.

But back to the Murphys.....how are these lyrics not perfect?

Gonna nail a black curtain Up good an' tight

Gonna do what my air raid man says is right

Gonna pull down the shades and turn out my light

There's gonna be a Blackout tonight

'Cause my town is big and my town is bright

My town can work and my town can fight!

So don't strike no light and don't cause a riot

There's gonna be a blackout tonight

Lights go out all over town

The air raid warden walks up and down

'Cause it's part of the war, I gotta do it right

There's gonna be a blackout tonight

Woody Guthrie can write himself some lyrics...yeah, they're about bombing raids during WW2....but there's enough symbolism to make em apply to our game.

How do fans not latch on to "'...my town is big and my town is bright...my town can work and my town can fight!"

Lame. Maybe if they crowd was entirely made of 17 yo males it'd be a good choice.

Aren't you a big supporter of the blackout & growl towels? Yer probably right.....James Taylor suits the BofA crowd a whole lot better....or some thug crunk bullshit.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
