The system works fine. Special teams and goaltending failed us. We owned the rangers 5v5 and I really don’t know what series you two were watching. Just more sensationalism.

Did you see my previous post with the post season stats?

playoff stats

Win % is .514

pp is 14.9

pk is 76

his special teams never work in the postseason.

the only way his system will ever work in the playoffs is if the team caves and spends on a goalie. A top tier goalie.

What does that have to do with running out of gas? Which was my initial point. 5v5 we dominated. Not sure what point you’re trying to make.

We need a 2C. You think they give Jarvis a chance there next year or load up on wingers?

They only have two options and one I think we all hope gets bought out here soon. KK being the other option on the team.

otherwise give jarvy a shot or go for one in FA

I never said they were gassed, I said nope that it was rod’s system that failed again.

I disagree. “The system” did not fail. It’s what gets us to the playoffs and has us competing in every series. The system dominated 5v5. Freddie and Special Teams cost the Canes this series. The injuries of Pesce and Fast definitely impacted the effectiveness of the PK.

Yeah the Canes aren't gonna take draft picks or prospects for Necas....

He has this year and next year left in team control (restricted).

He won’t sign any extension unless he’s

1. moved to center

2. plays on the top line

3. gets paid like a top line center.

ummmm… he’s not coming back. He doesn’t like Rod because he doesn’t see him as a center in the NHL.

so knowing what Necas wants, you still think he comes back and plays somewhere he doesn’t want to???

Right now I don’t expect Pesce, Necas, DeAngelo, Noesen or Teravainen back.

I also think KK is bought out and won’t be back.

Guentzel is 50/50, if they give him the money 9-11m per. He’s back but don’t know if they give him that kind of money.

You don't seem to understand how restricted free agency works (which he is the next two seasons)  he's not going to sit and lose money lol this ain't the NFL.

See the Kevin Fiala trade if you want an idea how this works because it's obvious your clueless.

I know how it works, most experts aren’t expecting him back either and his Father has already made comments on this and hard rumors are saying he won’t sign because the team won’t do what Necas wants.

I fully expect him to be traded. 100%

    • No lie… to this day, and forever, I’m always still gonna love me some Ted Ginn.  I tell people all the time who aren’t Panther fans so they don’t know - Ted legit was our best receiver during Cam’s tenure here.
    • That game made me resign from my position as HC of UNC in my solo football dynasty on NCAA26.
    • Nah, what he did in Cleveland was damn impressive.     ain’t no way in hell we (it’s my alma mater) should’ve looked like this tonight.  That was piss poor coaching and piss poor playing.  Like they said, for both teams, this was a similar setting to when TCU played Colorado when Deion was hired.  TCU coming in to play a game against a super famous football celebrity figure with a completely overhauled roster - difference is, Colorado played up to the moment.  We just folded like a cheap lawn chair.  I was joking during the game with friends, like they really watched a whole summer of Gio and Max and decided Gio was the starter?  Hell, I bet Bryce Baker as a freshman is better than Gio.  We hyped that signing of Gio like we just won the fuging lottery, and he is complete ass.  We spent two quarters desperately not trying to throw the football - I don’t know if it’s because he can’t or what?  But there was no excuse for that.  It felt so much like the Rhule years here.  I haven’t seen such a dysfunctional offense since or before.  And then the damn defense…. I asked my friend if they just brought all 70 new guys in from a lab that does arm and leg transplants because did these guys just receive their limbs and are figuring out how to use them???  Because I have never seen a whole team look so inept.  Diving early at feet and missing them entirely, getting trucked, flailing and falling everywhere, peewee league arm tackles, always looking a step slow…  no lie, whatever the worse I could’ve imagined that debut going, take that and make it 10 times worse and I never would’ve even seen THAT happening.  Absolutely no excuse for it.  None.  All the brand power and image brought with the Belichick hire, and that’s the best he could do in his debut.  They brought MJ, LT, and Roy out for THAT???  Man, I spent 7 years of my life living there and i NEVER saw or heard of LT coming out there during that time.  They actually got him coming around to watch THAT. Bill should be fuging embarrassed.  The fuging commentary booth brought a dog in and put a headset on him as Rece Davis said, “the wheels are off, ladies and gentlemen.”  As I said elsewhere - not under Mack 1.0, not under Torbush, not under Butch, not under Fedora,  and not under Mack 2.0, did we EVER look like THAT.  Never.  You bring in a guy that is considered one of the greatest football minds in coaching EVER, and we get shellacked and don’t even look competitive???  Boy I know the boosters are shitting fuging fireballs right now.
