Hell, they talked about Steve half the time anyways. Good to see him get his due, talking about he's the toughest reciever in the league to get his arm broke & still get into the end-zone, & how he needs help at the WR position with a young guy.

Though they did say that even though he said he wouldn't mind going to #2, that he'd be the best player on the field & teams would still double team him, which is true. They also said there's no way Smith would want to be #2 when he's only getting 3 catches a game & another guy is getting 10 lol.

That segment only served as more proof that Jamie Dukes is an idiot. He talked about the Panthers as if they have no talent on the roster.

Dukes = ex-Falcon

Do you really think he's going to give the Panthers any credit? He's critical of the Panthers even we are playing well.

Jamie Dukes Hates us. He was driving me crazy with all his comments about "does carolina even have a QB? and when answered Moore, the repetitive WHO WHO WHO" It was driving me nuts. The SOTF seemed more like a clip on Smitty and nothing else about the rest of the team. No mention of any Defensive starters. They did mention Brown but thats about it.

Your assuming they know anybody else?

Some of these idiots are going to be eating crow.

I may get burned by this (and believe me I am the biggest Steve smith fan out their) but Steve smith is NOT the best player on our team. He isn even the best player on offense. That's what kills me about how idiots like dukes are allowed to voice their opinion about things they have no clue about.

Steve smith is a dynamic player who changes the way teams defend against us but it's crazy to think he is the beat player or the only talent that we have at our disposal. I'm not going to say who that player is but why don't the analyst see that we have a top 5 player on offense and defense. We are so much more than Steve smith...yes we have holes but we aren't the rams...we aren't the browns...we aren't the buccanears...come on.

the responses I'm seeing here are exactly why I never watch videos on the Panthers. The ONLY teams that people and the media care about are the Cowboys, Colts, Patriots, and Steelers.

Even though I can't f**king stand the Saints, they don't even get coverage after winning the SB! When it's brought up, it's never "the Saints won" it's "Peyton Manning and the Colts lost." Hell, even when the new OT rule was introduced they said the Saints didn't deserve to win because of the old OT format. Just trying to protect their pet Peyton.

Take everything, and I mean everything you read/hear/watch about the Panthers with a grain of salt, because 9 times out of 10 it's completely false and it's the kind of info you find on bleachreport/random no-name blogs.

please tell me rich eisen had nothing to do with this segment?

i never pay much attention to what those guys say. it's just another way to fill up a five minute hole in their broadcasting. we as fans know that we have our QB, we know that we have more talent on our team than just smitty (DW, j-stew, beaston, harris, gamble - just to name a few)..... we also know that those retards will be eating their words when we end up in the playoffs this season!

    • Would Morgan or Beason have been HOFers' if injuries hadn't derailed their careers?  I was not a close watcher of the game when Morgan was in his prime but I thought Beason had a few seasons at close to Lukes' level of play.
    • Franchise QBs feast when things are rolling and the tide that raises boats when things are going sideways.  Bryce isn't that. He's a complimentary player, that's it.  When the defense and STs are on point, he plays loose and it shows.  When we are in a dog fight and things haven't gone our way, he struggles.  It's that simple. He's not a horrible QB, but he's not top tier either.  So the question begs, is this worthy of a second contract?  The answer should be no.  It definitely is my answer. Bryce will never be a QB that can produce wins largely on his arm.  That's a FRANCHISE QB, any other QB is simply a placeholder at the starter's position until that guy can be found.   At some point the excuses of lack of weapons will be a straw man.  Heck, it's nearly there now.  I mean if he doesn't look even better than last year will we blame it on the TE position?  'Well if Bryce only had a player like Kelce, Kittle or Gronk on this team...'  Are we really going to do that?
    • When I arrived at college, I was 18, not too much younger than some of these draft picks.  It was not a huge school, but there were guys on the team who were 21, 22, 23....playing ahead of me.  I was seventh on the depth chart.  Those guys have been through a few seasons, were stronger, more knowledgeable.  I was a better raw player than some of them, but those other factors matter.  As I grew stronger, more familiar with the playbook, and learned what it was like to play in college, I gradually improved and with that, I rose up the depth chart.  It took most of my freshman year for the light to come on.  Had the coach thrown me into the starting lineup day 1, I would have probably failed.    And that was college.  So I agree with you based on my experience on a much lower level.  Frankly, I think that is why so many kids drafted to fill huge gaps bust.  The teams are desperate.  Anyone who looks to fill vacancies in the starting lineup through the draft is desperate.  You draft depth to develop.  For this reason, I say, "Let Walker start for a while."  Maybe Brazzell can be our WR 4.  Throw Hunter into a rotation and ask him to do one or two things.  Freeling needs some strength and he needs to work on run blocking.
