Grand Scheme of Life

Think about the length of your ENTIRE LIFE. You will live, pending any deadly accidents or murder, around 80 years. How many YEARS of your life will you spend wasting time, doing things that do your life no benefit? Example, posting on this message board. My life really wouldn't be any different if I never found this place. But I'll spend maybe a few minutes a day on here, and that adds up quick.

I'm sure many of you spend a far greater amount of time on here than I. I'm not trying to hate, it's a fun way to socialize, but in the grand scheme of things, is it worth it with the limited time we are give? Why am I not out taking homeless children to the park?

Who can think of some other examples in life that people spend lots of time doing that really have no reason other than they are time-killers?

Video Games? Masturbating? (that one can be debated with the physical affects taken into account) Shopping?

I agree.Life if very short.

I see this from people all the time that say that they are on the hunt for "enlightenment" or trying to figure out who they are..lol..All they do is sit around maybe read a book or just take a year or two off doing nothing...How do you "find yourself" doing nothing?

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.     also why not draft a tackle in the later rounds that we could move to guard or center if they fail, instead of drafting a center? If we draft a center we know they aren’t going to play tackle but if you draft a tackle they could end up playing any of the 3 positions, look at BC for example. It feels like it’s a better decision to draft a tackle in later rounds than a center.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
