Would Pete Carroll want Dwayne Jarrett?

I only ask because the Seahawks were trying out Mike Williams this week.

It seems possible we could get some low(i mean low) pick from them considering what they gave up for an unknown QB in Whitehurst..

It doesn't seem like he's really wanted here anymore but is cheap to have on the roster so they won't just cut him..but I wouldn't doubt that they try and get something out of him, if they get a WR in the draft..

i dont see us trading jarrett unless we manage some very nice moves in the draft or free agency. with smitty demanding help at WR i think the FO will want to keep as many options on the team as possible. if jarrett can duplicate what he did with matt moore as QB during the last five games and not completely suck a nut, he should be useful as a WR3.

Good question. Don't really know what his relationship with Jarrett was or his feelings about him as a player. But if hes a fan he might be willing to give up a low draft pick for him.

My gut says, the Panthers want to give Jarrett another year; if he fails Carroll could pick him up on waivers for free.

the only thing he did with moore the last 5 games was the saints game. I don't think he had a single catch outside of that game.

yep, only game with a catch in last 5 with Moore playing. not sure how many snaps or targets he had in those previous 4, but i am sure it wasnt many.

for all his faults Jarret has decent hands and will take a hit in traffic. he just cant get any separation and is not smart enough to take advantage of his size (like moose). i would like to see what he can do in a limited but expanded role this season given the chance to make some plays.

Jarrett produced in the Saints game because that was the first game where he started because Smitty broke his arm. He had an awesome 1 handed catch and an awesome TD catch. He looked pretty good IMO.

I still believe he will produce this year if given the chance. I believe receiving your first TD as a receiver was a big physiological gain.

He had a clutch 4th down grab to keep the TD drive before halftime alive as well....

4th down grab is at the 1:25 mark with the TD and 1 handed following......

he hadn't even been active in several games and were it not for smith getting his arm broken jarrett wouldn't have been active for that one.

it was safe to say that jarrett was probably on his way out until he had that big game against new orleans. what he managed to do was to give himself another chance with moore throwing to him. smith's broken arm was the best thing that could have happened to jarrett.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
