Dan Morgan is an awful GM

The Panthers had no leverage, so they shouldn't have handed him away for free. They gave him away for an embarrassing return. Just like McCaffrey. Just like Burns. There's also the inconvenient truth that the Panthers turned the Bears into a playoff contender with one trade.

Those things happened, whether we want to pretend they did or not.

There is another front office on tape laughing at his incompetence, I mean for fugs sake what other evidence do you need he is in over his head and it continues to show

I couldnt possibly imagine thinking that I have to defend this trainwreck of a GM with everything already know about him.

Seriously, it’s his first year at GM, what has he done wrong?

Johnson trade and the Burns trades needed to happen and we just didn’t have any leverage. We got $61m in dead cap that he inherited.

So let’s hear it?

so he gets a complete pass on being fitts right hand man?    LOLOLOL man if you think that then there is no need to keep debating Morgan.    Even given a free pass he has stunk up the joint, then couple the past decisions and its dumbfounding that he was hired to start with

So you got nothing then? And are just being angry to be angry? Ok!

say I’m wrong with that last statement, but I just gave you your chance to actually explain yourself instead of an general angry reaction and this is what you give. A bunch of nothing.

Go scream on Facebook where someone may want to read your drivel.🤣👍

I got nothing?  His results speak for itself.  And he was co pilot in building this disaster

- co-signed the McCaffrey trade: That doesn't count!
- turned down the Rams: That doesn't count!
- co-signed the Young trade: That doesn't count, either!
- Young over Stroud: That doesn't count!
- fleeced by the Giants: That doesn't count!
- traded valuable picks for OL to pick an injured RB who's yet to play: That doesn't count!
- gave up the team's best WR for nothing: He had no leverage!

See? Nothing. 🤣👍

Lmao, so guilt by association? Maybe he was the voice inside the building that was against some of these disastrous moves, and that’s why he was promoted to GM?

Nobody here knows, you’re just blaming him for things you have no clue about with regards to the inner office operations of the Panthers. End of the day, the stuff you’re angry with Morgan the most over happened under Fitterer, not Morgan. And that’s my point.

My point here, which you haven’t disputed is there hasn’t been anything you can directly point at Morgan and say this is all his fault. I’m not saying Morgan is a good GM btw, I’m just saying that you can understand the moves he’s making and why. All his moves last off season made sense to me, even the ones I didn’t like such as letting Luvu walk(caused by dead cap issues, and priorities on offense).

just being angry and shouting online is just being childish lmao

Lmao, someone just wants to be angry. Poor baby!!

Already explained the Burns and Johnson trades. The rest is irrelevant to Morgan and trying to label guilt by association. See my last post for why that’s as stupid as it is.

cry babies showing up today lol

You attempted to make up justification for two stupid decisions. Call your cope whatever you like. It's still coping.

Immediately discrediting every claim made against Morgan based on "no clue with regards to the inner office operations" isn't quite the maturity flex you think it is. None of us are privy to the inner workings of this team, and the flailing decisions speak to the high possibility there are no inner workings.

And honestly, man, I wish we could justify all his moves, but some of them straight-up can't be. That trade was just bad, and you're not going to hell if you accept it as such.

So, what do you do with Burns and Johnson.

Let’s hear it buckaroo?

Dan Morgan was our assistant GM for YEARS and Fitterer's right hand man.   That's not guilt by association.

As stated before, we don’t know what his stance was inside the office on certain key moves. Fitter and Tepper definitely signed off on them. But we have no idea on Morgan.

for and against, it’s pure speculation because none of us were in that room. That’s my point.

"Buckaroo." That's good. 🤣👍 Mature beyond his years, clearly.

Brian Burns was a far more justifiable asset to trade for a good return during the 2022 season, than DJ Moore (who was shipped out the following spring). Do you disagree? Let me know.

I'd have traded Burns before McCaffrey, and I wouldn't have traded Moore at all. It's possible, despite what Morgan and Fitterer display, to turn down a bad offer. Thirty-one other teams are aware of this.

That brings me to Johnson: if your "leverage" is "he wasn't gonna re-sign," you have no leverage; which, as you said, means you shouldn't make a trade, right? Do you disagree? If so, quickly adjust your prior stance.

Giving up No. 1 in 6 and a standout WR, even if he's petulant, for No. 30-32 in 5 = demonstrably stupid. Keep the comp pick if he re-signs, or see if he can be convinced to stay with a new non-Shedeur QB.

    • My projection. I think at WR its time to go with youth. This means Moore should be the odd man out. Horn can return both punts and kicks and Tremayne is a better WR than Moore. XL gets one more year to prove himself, although I could see a trade in the future which would mean Moore could stay. For OL, I would like us to bring back Brady if we can. The RBs, Trevor can return both punts and kicks too. With the uncertainty of Brooks and Dillon, its hard to choose either one. I think the team would like for Brooks to have a breakout season to clear any uncertainty that he deserves a spot. For now, I have them both even and on the team. DL looks solid as well as OLB. Watch out for the UDFA of Aaron Hall and Isaiah Smith at OLB. They look promising and could knock someone off the team. ILB is still the biggest weakness on the team. We need to upgrade that any means necessary. CB is strong and Im praying to all the Gods that Wheatley beats out Scott at FS.  OFFENSE: WR: Tetairoa McMillan - *Chris Brazzell II* - Brycen Tremayne TE: Tommy Tremble - James Mitchell LT: #Rasheed Walker# - *Monroe Freeling* LG: Damien Lewis C- #Luke Fortner# - *Sam Hecht* RG: Robert Hunt - #Saahdiq Charles# RT: Taylor Moton - #Stone Forsythe# TE: Ja`Tavion Sanders - Mitchell Evans WR: Xavier Legette - Jalen Coker - Jimmy Horn Jr. QB: Bryce Young - #Kenny Pickett# RB: Chuba Hubbard - Trevor Etienne - #AJ Dillon# - Jonathon Brooks DEFENSE: LE: Tershawn Wharton - Bobby Brown III  NT: *Lee Hunter* - Cam Jackson RE: Derrick Brown - LaBryan Ray LOLB: Nic Scourton - Patrick Jones II  LILB: Trevin Wallace - Bam Martin-Scott - *Jackson Kuwatch* RILB: #Devin Lloyd# - Claudin Cherrelus  ROLB: #Jaelen Phillips# - Princely Umanmielen LCB: Jaycee Horn - Akayleb Evans RCB: Mike Jackson - *Will Lee III* - Chau Smith-Wade SS: Tre`von Moehrig - Lathan Ransom FS:  Nick Scott - *Zakee Wheatley* - Demani Richardson  SPECIAL TEAMS: K/KO: Ryan Fitzgerald P/H: Sam Martin KR: Trevor Etienne - Jimmy Horn Jr. PR: Trevor Etienne - Jimmy Horn Jr. LS: J.J. • His contract is guaranteed.  Legette is just not where he needs to be mentally.  Not fully invested, it seems.
    • Literally like Hill. He's not QB1 material (now or ever), but if we can turn him into a H-back and use him like  Swiss army knife, that's his ticket to make the roster.  H-back/emergency QB.  I wonder how good his hands are?  If they are at least above average by NFL standards then we can line him up in the backfield, in the slot, split out wide and of course, in the Wildcat.
