Current PFF ratings for all OL that have taken snaps for us in 2024.

Robert Hunt - 73.8

Damien Lewis - 72.9

Ikem Ekwonu - 72.8

Taylor Moton - 71.3

Brady Christensen- 65.3

Cade Mays - 64.3

Austin Corbett - 62.9

Chandler Zavala - 61.5

Jarrett Kingston - 60.0

Yosh Nijman - 57.9

 

The performance of these guys has been really exceptional overall. After many, many years of terrible OL play, give the new coaching staff and Dan Morgan credit for making some needed changes to get us possibly the best OL unit(including reserves) we have had in many, many years.

As someone who was not amped up about the massive money spent at OG, I was wrong. It has transformed the entire line performance. Even our previous turnstiles like Mays and Zavala have played better. Ikey and Moton have played better. It's been great.

If a QB happens in the draft, fine. If not, also fine. Pushing that is how you end up with Bryce Young, not how you end up with Patrick Mahomes. 

Don't be desperate and stupid. Play the board. BPA.

This isn't a contending team for a bit.

Bryce is 5'9 180 pounds. Blame Tepper for taking a child with the #1 pick.

 

Go get your QB. I'm tired of waiting while other franchises get their guy.

 

Texans/Commanders/Broncos/Pats all got their QB in the past 2 drafts. All of them were top picks.

 

Preaching patience at the most important position is why we have been searching for a QB since Cam. We missed on Bryce keep trying!

Also, you are literally preaching doing what we have been doing. Scrambling around and going from QB to QB. That's literally what we have done under Tepper and it hasn't done poo.

This is just because you are simping for Sanders/Ward and that's all this is about. You couldn't possibly be more transparent.

Bo Nix almost beat the SB champs on the road had they not block the last second FG attempt.

Nix is absolutely a franchise QB.

IMO, he is hitting close to his ceiling at the moment. He is, at best, an above average starter. Alex Smith is his ceiling.

      We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that

      There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
