Foxhole: Good news for D-line

On injuries: Did not participate: Jeff Hangartner (ankle). Full participation: Maake Kemoeatu (ankle), Damione Lewis (shoulder) and Jeff Otah (toe).

On if it was good to have defensive tackles Maake Kemoeatu and Damione Lewis back: Yep. We had a little hiatus but we got them back; that was a good reason for the bye. So we should be at full strength.

On how much of a relief it is to get Kemoeatu and Lewis back: I think any time you have starters out it makes it more difficult. That’s why they’re starters. It’s, obviously, good to have them back.

"On if it is even more important having Kemoeatu and Lewis back considering how well Arizona ran the ball against Atlanta: It’s huge. Again, it’s hard for us to determine what plan of attack they’ll take, whether they are going to feature the run or feature the pass. But that’s the same dilemma you deal with every week no matter who the opponent is. As we tell our guys, it’s their ball, they can do whatever they want. But this better gets us ready to be able to play at our best."

106 yards from the 32nd ranked cardinals against the 28th ranked rush defense of the falcons, yeah the cardinals are a powerhouse, I'm so nervous

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
