I'd hope he's better then Cantwell. That's not saying much either.... I know why they picked him..... I just thought they could've pick up an UDFA that would be able take over Cantwell's spot as the number 3.

I mean I did give the draft an A.

Not gonna disagree. They probably could have picked up a better UDFA than Cantwell.

As it stands though, I like the Pike pick better than an unknown UDFA.

And I gave the draft a B lol.

I know SC got mixed up and was talking about LaFell being slow.... Not exactly slow at 4.5 (Boldin, Fitzgerald and a bunch of pro players ran a 4.5) He doesn't make his bread and butter on Speed, he does that being physical and position. He's going to be a stud.

Calling the Baylor guy slow is just funny. His slowest time was a 4.46 at 6-3 and 217, he also ran a 4.39.

As one previous poster pointed out.....remember that this draft included trading picks for Tyler and Leonard.

We addressed WR, QB, LB, DL, and CB in this draft.

Scratched my head on two QB's, but both had big value. We got a potential franchise QB with Top 10 skills...for 2nd round money. An absolute no brainer.

We got another QB with talent for a freaking 6th rd compensatory pick....no downside what so ever.

Panthers FO decided to address the offense and the future of this franchise.

Continuing to sort through other team's 3rd string QB's to find your starter is not a way to be successful in this league. They have decided that you must build it through the draft. We did it at RB and everyone is happy....do it with a QB and everyone bitches.

The hard part with QB is the huge contract and guaranteed money that a Top 10 franchise QB requires....and the higher bust rate. The risk is big. But, taking a Top 10 talent for Rd 2 money is brilliant.
