John Fox

JR may be behind all this

Fox has turned over his coaching staff in last 3 seasons

Now all his vet players are being turned over

If the team still can't get it together

That only leaves one equation left from the orginal problem:smash:

All the cards have been dealt

Yea... 8-8, and 12-4 the past two season are failures in the competitive NFL.... and without an elite NFL QB. So what original problem are we talking about??

Only 2 teams plays in the Superbowl every year..... doesn't mean the other 30 coaches has a "Problem" and needs to be fired.

So under this theory, JR and Hurney are just sitting around with their thumbs in each others ass while Fox decimates our roster?

Listen to yourself say that out loud and you're realize how ridiculous it sounds.

God...

Talent =/= Solid Veteran Leadership

On paper that's a real pretty assessment though.

Here is the thing with that line of thinking.

How are the young talented guys ever going to become the leaders if they are being led? The only vocal leader we lost was Delhomme. Diggs, Peppers, Kemo, Damien, all of them were not vocal leaders and I don't even know if they were any type of leader what so ever. Harris, the most I have heard and seen of him leading, is this offseason. When he was trying to lead a revolt on the FO.

Unless your leader is someone like Ray Lewis or Peyton Manning he can be replaced. I am sure that Beason, Davis, and Brayton will do a fine job in keeping the D in line. I am also sure that SS, Williams, and Gross will do a fine job of keeping the O in line.

Here is a little test for all of you stupid people posting stupid poo about how the FO is trying to throw the season.

When you type down the name of the player who got cut/traded that was so VALUABLE to this franchise, type the name of his replacement next to it.

Something like this: Delhomme (Moore, Clausen, Pike), Kemo (Leonard, Tank, E. Johnson, Irvin), Diggs (Connor, Anderson, Ivy), Harris (Martin).

Hopefully it will make you realize that we are letting a bunch of older players that are on the downside of their carreers go and replacing them with young guys with TONS of upside. If it doesn't, oh well, you were an idiot before and you still are, no harm done.

I hear what your saying, and I agree with the upside. I just think that we are too young, with too much unproven talent. When your a starter you need to be consistent and not just have flashes of what you can do. I believe you need solid veterans to bring these guys around and help keep them in the right place.

I hope I am wrong, but I think the move will benefit in the long term... But I'm not confident about next years defense with this many new pieces in the starting lineup. I think you need some consistency from year to year. But we shall see.

A lot of guys looked up to Brad Hoover.

I'm not debating that.

It's cutting all of those players in such a small time-frame is utterly ridiculous. All the while the said players were such big influences on this team.

You think Chris mouthing off didn't throw this team in a loop just wait until the season begins.

But yet they do get fired !

6 or more almost ever season

JR see's a problem

Why would he have Fox release all his coaches over the last 3 seasons?

Maybe JR is looking for a consistent team in the playoff year in and year out.

8-8 12-4

Marty Schottienhere made playoffs almost ever season

But was still fired B/C he could not get to or win the Super Bowl!

And I still say it's a cop out.... Look at your example.... Since Marty Schottenheimer has left it's been.... well more of the same!!!!

The point is San Diego plays in a conference with two Hall of Fame QB's with good people around them. The Chargers losing was not Marty's fault... and the past few years prove it. Once you get to the playoffs it's usually good teams playing other good teams.... doesn't mean the one who lose on that sunday lost because of Coaching!

People blame coaching because it is the easiest thing to do!!! Someone always has to take blame, when sometimes you just look to a good team. Everyone wants the chin.... well look how many AFC championship games he lost before he got his ring... and the down seasons he had!

John Fox is a good coach... when he has a good team they perform well, It could be argued that John fox teams has overachieved if you want to compare talent to those of elite teams. People talk about Jake not being an elite NFL QB.... well with john fox he went to a superbowl, and multiple NFC Championship games!!

But we have a few seasons of 7-9, now John fox is a horrible coach, and need to be fired.... GTFO

It's not Jake's fault he was still the starter way past his expiration date.
