How pissed off are the giants going to be?

We blew out the Giants in the last game ever played at their stadium.

We handed them one of their worst home losses in franchise history. When you add in the context of the loss then it probably is the worst home loss in franchise history and one of the worst losses period.

We blew them out in front of die hard fans who wanted to be there to send the stadium off proper. They were very confident and looking forward to a blowout since they destroyed the Redskins the previous game. Also, the giants started out well which got them excited only to watch the game go horribly wrong.

We knocked them out of the playoffs.

We blew them out in front some of their greatest players EVER such as Lawrence Taylor.

We blew them out in front of season ticket holders who would have this game be their last ever because they couldn't afford tickets in the new stadium. So you know they were looking forward to it and hoping to remember this game fondly.

The ownership would have invited all of their friends and benefactors of the franchise out to celebrate the last game in their stadium. Really took a dump on that picnic.

So we know the team, the fans, and the ownership are all going to be pissed off and very motivated to not have the opening game of their new stadium be ruined.

So I'll admit it, I'm pretty scared out this opening game. We really rained on their parade, if they lose this game then it's a permanent black eye on the season. How embarrassing would that be to get beat by the same team in the closing game of the old stadium, then get beat in the opening game of the new one.

I will be ecstatic if we can win this one, if we can match their intensity and win then I will guarantee playoffs the same day.

Great post. I have been thinking about all of that you said... since they released the schedule. I am a bit scared and excited at the same time about it. But it will be a perfect opportunity to put 'owning rights' on that franchise. lol

It will be an intense season opener, that's for sure.

I think it's funny that the NFL keeps trying to feed us to the Giants as some sort of homecoming opponent, guess that didn't work out the way it was planned last time...

They knocked us out of being the #1 seed back in 08, so I am fine with us beating their asses unmercerfully until furter notice.
