I wouldn't say heads and shoulders, but he certainly is better.

I guess that's why he is 2nd team and Fitz is 1st and Fitz and Boldin are starting in the Pro Bowl while Smith is riding pine? Good call. The Cardinals for a fact have the smallest fanbase in the NFL. Obviously the rest of the world, and more importantly the people who know more about football and matter in these decisions, just feel differently than you guys in Carolina.

I never said Fitz was better, although I do feel he is more valuable do to his size and jump ball ability. I just find it funny that you guys just take it as a fact that Smith is sitting atop the world.

Fitz is a great reciever, no one questions that. What people here will tell you is that Smith does more with less than any other receiver.

Fitz All the Height, size, strength, and hands you could ever want in a reciever and he has a deadly accurate QB throwing it to him.

Smith is short and has to go get many of Delhomme's passes.

Fitz managed 1431 yards this season, Smith had 1421 and only played 14 games. Sorry man, it's not an insult to Fitzgerald but Smith is the better WR, and if you put Smith's brain in Fitz's body catching Warner balls he would have 2000 yards.

On top of that 4 of 7 of Fitz's 100+ yard games came in losing efforts. For Smith it was 2 of 8. I'll take a reciever who's effort actually results in effective W's for the team.

One question. How many games did Fitzgerald make one of his patented grabs over 2 defenders in the last 2 minutes of the game to set Arizona up to win the game. I can think of 3 times Smitty did it for us to win and once where he did it but we lost against the Giants.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
