With the strong possibility of us keeping 2 FBs on the roster, IF it came down to the FO having to choose between Goodson and Sutton who do you think they would choose?

IMO, even though there's room to keep both, I think they would choose Goodson if they chose to keep 3 RBs because we would already have a backup FB who can also carry the ball and we have multiple return guys. All were roles Sutton played in last season. He could also take back the starting kickoff return role he had at the beginning of the season. Also if he improves on his fumbling problems from last preseason, I think he could be a much better RB than Sutton. Plus I think taking a year to learn could do him much good. Also remember that Goodson is considered to be good at receiving as well. Besides I dont think the FO would cut a draft pick from last year because that will mean they just wasted a pick when they could've drafted someone else to stay on the roster.

Goodson, I think, has a ton of potential. That being said, I think Fox is clearly going with the guys who show the work ethic and play soundly. True, maybe Goodson didn't get his chance last year, but Sutton looked really good in his fairly-limited playing time.

I have to assume we'd go with Sutton over Goodson, since the coaching staff went with him last year.

True, but I think the reason Sutton was chosen over Goodson was because he wasn't quite ready yet. This year could be the year he shows who he truely is after taking a year to learn. And I think he will impress.

Could very well be, and I hope so. I had high hopes for Goodson as a slot receiver or returner.

But that thinking of "this could be his year" has been known to burn us before. ;)

Yeah but he was still just a rookie. I think the FO would be more willing to keep their 4th round pick of 2009 who has more potential. It's low risk, high reward and dumping him would just be an embarrassment.

Goodson fumbling problem isnt blown out of proportion, its a huge problem with a run first type of team. But I do feel he should/has to be better this year with that problem. Theres no way we cut a 4th round draft pick from last year with that much talent. Goodson will eventually be good.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
