Could the huddle collectively write better articles than national writers???

Recommended Posts

This thought was floating around in my head the other day. What if somebody were to write up an article, then put it up here to let people read over it and suggest changes.

The downside is that we would probably have to use bleacher report and I know some people hate it.

No matter what the opinion of the article would be we would ALWAYS be more informed than most writers. We are far too knowledgeable.

It would just be really satisfying to read through an article that didn't make any incredibly obvious and embarrassing errors.

We already do this a little bit when somebody posts up a longer posts like position battles and then all the huddlers post their opinions about it. Turn that topic into an article and you would have a far more interesting read than what most national writers fling at you.

One reason I really like this idea is if other teams fans did this we would all be better informed as well. All the ignorance and errors don't only apply to us. There are probably many things I believe that are wrong due to a national writer not knowing what he's talking about.

So what does everybody think?

A select few could.

Some people here are major homers(which I can understand, it IS a Panthers forum..) and the best articles are from an unbiased writer. Not a lot can write an article that is completely objective.

This would only work for Panther-related stories of course. The homers would be kept in check by the doom and gloom crew and vice versa. It could work nicely.

Too much work though. I prefer to post irrelevant images like such:

Kinda depends on how factual you want the articles to be. Writing isn't that difficult if you know what to put in the story....

As the storm outside grew louder, the passion Mona was feeling threatened to overcome her completely. Things like this had never happened to her- a poor farm girl from the foothills of Appalachia could barely imagine the wonders she was experiencing. Clutching the sheets tightly, she could barely breathe as the unimaginable was finally happening- Deangelo took the pitch, ran towards the sidelines, and threw effortlessly back across the field to Moore who was streaking downfield.

    • Maybe the 3rd,Gano had made 63 and 58(or 59).
    • Not really sure I’d say we had “constant success” on the ground either. Take away Dalton’s kneel down and Bryce’s scrambles and we had 103 yards on 27 carries. Not garbage, but not constant success to where it wouldn’t have been reasonable to let your QB try and gain some confidence by throwing it a bit more, or even just further down the field. I’m happy we won, but just frustrated in that we somehow didn’t even look that great in a 30-0 win because it was largely due to the Falcons ineptitude and bad mistakes. We only had 2 drives all game of over 30 yards, the 61 yard opening TD drive and a 48 yard drive for a FG.  So it’s not like our offense was some well oiled machine that couldn’t have been trying to throw and push it downfield more.
    • BY is Pathetic. With a good QB and better middle linebackers,  we could be a playoff bound team.
