any player that is freshly traded to a new team will put on a front for the media, but I for one am a moss fan and watching the games when he was in oakland you could see by his actions on the sideline and his half effort every play that he didnt want to be there, and that along with there being no other talent would cause anybody to have bad numbers

Choosing not to help your team is worse than not being capable of helping your team. The article in the OP is all about how he improves teams. I posted that it isn't all about Moss. You seem to agree.

Tom Brady sure did suffer without Moss.

He suffer with Moss as well. Moss didn't have good number in the last season after Brady came back from a season injury.

And Moss is one of the best. I would say J.Rice, Holt, & Smitty are better than him.

LOL, Randy Moss still had 1200+ yards and 15 TDs (lead the NFL) in a "down" year. Do people really think Moss isnt a complete WR? Wow...thats just flat out disrespectful to the game of football. Say what you want about his character, but to question his abilities is just crazy. If Moss played for the Panthers in his prime, he would be the #1 WR, not Smitty. And thats not a slight to Smitty, hes great, its just that Moss is greater. People dont understand how such a rare athlete Moss really is. Hes a top 5 athlete all time in the NFL.

Is Moss the most talented WR out there? Probably. But does "most talented" automatically equal best?

If you say yes, then ask yourself this question: Is Julius Peppers the best defensive end in the league? He's surely the most talented :sosp:

I've said many times I'll take a guy with less talent who gives his all every play over a super talent who only goes all out when he feels like it.

Add in that Moss is a punk and I've known that since long before he was famous. I wouldn't want him within a mile of the Panthers locker room.

someone mentioned that the patriots didnt win the superbowl because Moss was on the team, but thats straight BS. Moss had the best year as an NFL wide reciever ever. i dont remember the exact numbers, but he had like 22 TDs and a boatload of yards. he beat jerry rice's record by like 3 or 4 TDs. Moss was like julius peppers as a wide receiver. probably couldve been the best ever, but didnt care.

i think he is easily top 5 all time, and probably top 2 or 3.

Yes I'm in agreeance that Randy Moss is one of the better recievers of all time, however, this isn't about that.

This is about you saying Cris Carter and Terrell Owens were also on that Top 5 list..

are ya slap nuts?

What about Steve Largent?

Lynn Swann?

Fred Biletnikoff?

Not to mention the obvious, Jerry Rice..

the list goes on and on my friend..

    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
    • How do I activate said Krispy Kreme deal? I'm stoned man you can't be playing with me about this...
    • When the broadcast showed the two benches side by side during the last TV timeout, it was pretty obvious the whole operation is a shitshow. If I was the owner, I would play that clip, with commentary, on the jumbotron at MSG as I fired the coach, GM, President, the whole lot. Bring in your AHL leadership team, wholesale, to finish out the season and start from scratch next year.  Can't fire all the players and fold the season. But, hopefully decapitating the zombie will light a fire under the body and burn out the cancer of the roster. (It makes sense if you don't think about it...) There are obviously issues on the roster. But, you can't have the entire coaching staff completely tuned out with 5 minutes left in a 2 goal game this early in the season. And you can't trust the people that hired them to hire the next staff. If you trust your AHL GM/Scouts, let them run the deadline firesale.   ...     Please don't let the owner read any of this. Because, this poo is hilarous!
