Jamar Williams: On the Radar

Recommended Posts

haha. Still bitter that your best defensive player and elite pass rusher prefered to play in chi for less than he was offered in car.

Ohh btw, briggs is the best wlb in the game. He has been voted to the pro bowl every yr for the past 4 yrs.

Ohh and thanks for trading harris to us. He loves chicago.

Lol.

Well considering how terrible Angelo has been recently and how much Hurney has made him look like his b*tch I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch. That goes for Peppers as well.

I am starting to like the Harris/Williams trade more and more. Harris really wasn't all that great the last couple of seasons. He is a dying breed in todays NFL.

Pretty sure that most people on here would have considered Beason our best defensive player.

I am one of them. The causal fan only sees sacks and the couple of highlight games that Pep dominated. Beason is great 24/7 and a great leader to boot. Best PR well duh but best D player no.

Lol there is so much wrong with this post. For one JP was not even consisderd our second best player. That would have gone to TD. Second its so funny that you don't understand that we offered him less Money and you just got butt raped by JP. I mean really JP has sliped it up in you faster then big ben at a rave club. Enjoy your 3 good games he gives you. Oh BTW how did ricky manning turn out for you guys.

Williams to the Strongside, Beason to the Weakside, and Conner to the Middle. We lose speed but I think we gain toughness

I actually think the better formation would be Beason SLB, Connor MLB, and let Anderson and Williams compete for WLB. This is what Ihad in mind when I said I was hoping some team would offer up a 1st and 3rd for TD after we tendered him. WLB is the easiest position IMO to plug in play in Meeks scheme.

TD is a special athlete but its not the end of the world. Losing Kemo last season (being as we were already thin at NT) was a much bigger loss. I still don't like how thin we are at NT and all we have are to much of an Unknown for me. HT would be nice to have for a vet min contract for insurance.

hmm... yeah, Beason is definitely the best player on our team, don't know what that guy is talking about. Peppers will turn out to be a chump this season. I bet Everette Brown will have more sacks than Peppers. Hell, him and Charles Johnson are really the only reason Peppers had half the sacks he had last season, as they came off the right end, the quarterback was pressured into going to the left, letting Peppers get most of the sacks. Unless the Bears' other DE's can get pressure on the QB, Peppers won't do a damn thing. He's already got his pay check anyway.

And I'm thinking Williams, Beason, Connor... but apparently Anderson is a step ahead of Connor for SLB. The SLB spot is for a tackling machine, and that's pretty much all Connor did at Penn State.

Anyway, I'm pretty confident that Meeks will field a good LBer corps with the players he has. They finished the season very strong last year despite the loss of TD, which was impressive.

James Anderson really played lights out in place of TD. Not as fast as TD but James seemed to be in the right place at the right time more often than not. I hope he steps it up again this year too

Watch him turn out to be a Chris Harris type of player for us.

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it when we pick up a player who has a ton of impact but steadily makes our D worse but no one is willing to admit it because of a name on a jersey.

Lol at you guys who downplay peppers. Your stories would be way different if pep was still In a carolina uni.

LOL at you guys who make Peppers seem more important than he really was.

Peppers was the most dominant DE of all time. There never has been or never will be a player like Pep. Everyone forgot to tell Pep about this.

I really hope that he realizes his potential with Chicago because I am tired of waiting for him to realize it with the Panthers.

Good luck Pep, if you do to good of a job, I am going to slt your tires.

Not that stats are incredibly conclusive, but last year TD averaged 1 more tackle per game, four times as many INTs, and twice as many PD than Briggs.

Just throwing that out there. Briggs' stats were more comparable to James Anderson.

Also, don't forget that Briggs is a giant dick! I think that is why many Chicago fans relate well to him.

Read most of the older posts from last year and what not, the only player fans grew more frustrated with than Peppers was Delhomme. Granted, Peppers was special, but only when he wanted to be. We've all grown tired of him being manhandled by even backup tightends and then giving up on plays. He'll give you three to four good games and maybe even 3 great games, heck maybe even 1 HOF game, but most of the time you'll see him stonewalled by a backup LT because the opponents starter is injured, and then he'll be on the sideline with his skackjawed grin. Fug peppers.
