Bell's Java Stout is good. Had one as well as some of my home brewed Bock on NYE along with oysters. Great pairing.

I am a coffee and espresso fiend, and love Java Stout! It's one of my favorite coffee beers. Terrapin Wake 'n Bake might be my absolute favorite, though.

Just picked up two six-packs of another favorite -- Duck Rabbit's Baltic Porter. Such a great beer. I'll probably buy two more before you can't find them on shelves anymore.

I'm 30 and just now getting into beer. There is a resturant chain in Georgia called "Tacomac" which serve hundreds of different labels. My brother and I got there often and we always try something different. He likes pale ales and I like stouts... so we have tried a lot of different brands. So far my favorites are Left Hand Milk Stout, Guinness Extra Stout, Rabbit Duck Milk Stout and Founders Oatmeal stout. Another good one, Rogue Imperial stout. I'm gonna read the first 91 pages to get some ideas on what else to try there.

Trying a Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout. A little sweeter than I usually like. The alcohol taste is pretty strong too (10%).

Not sure if you can still find it as it is a seasonal beer.... Kona Pipeline by Kona Brewing is an amazing coffee porter. They brew with Hawaiian kona coffee beans.

Excellent brew!

Yeah, I really enjoy Pipeline Porter! When I was out in Vegas last year, it was just about the only craft beer around town for some reason. I enjoyed a few in the casinos.

  • 3 weeks later...

Bought a growler of NoDaryzed on Sunday at the brewery. Meh. The new New Castle seasonal is very good. Got that on Saturday.

You didn't like NoDaRyeZ'd? That's my favorite beer from NoDa Brewing (the Coco Loco is a very close second).

Apparently I have bought out all the Chocolate Yeti in the Greensboro/Winston area.

Great beer. It's brewed with cayenne pepper!
