Top 50 Running Backs

Recommended Posts

Pierre Thomas is a good back, and if he didn't make the Top-50 list, it's absurd.

However, Pierre is NOT one of the league's elite.

(Top 10-15 or better)

Pierre benefited an INCREDIBLE amount from teams hanging back to stop the Saint's pass attack.

BTW, 140 attempts isn't a lot in these here parts..

The Giant's defense had thrown the towel in by the second half. Their defensive coordinator was a joke and their season was over.

Yes the 60 yard run was impressive that was against Saint's back ups was impressive.

Minnesota was desimated in every way that game. Do you have the game still on your DVR? Do you mean to tell me its the same amount of run favoring defense that we saw when Jake was playing?

Yes the run game can make any QB successful. However I think good QB play makes a huge difference in openings for a running game. Ex Jake delhomme 08 vs 09 and the running stats that followed.

For the record I don't personally have an opinion on which RB is better, I <3 them both and think they're even.

I've actually watched the Vikings game many times and they didn't respect Moore at all in the 1st half, they mostly concentrated on the run and would blitz on mostly on 3rd down.

After it became apparent that we weren't going away they started coming after Moore a lot more aggressively and he still did fine. He had some long catch and runs that inflated his yardage but his 100+ rating was still well earned. I can't really say for sure who was the main catalyst for the because it was a really complete game and an all around beat down.

And there is no one with DWill/Ray Rices acceleration, Deangelo's vision or Chris Johnson's speed. There is something special about each of them for their respective style. JS>AP, he murders anyone in his way just like Jackson does and how AP did his first year.

Yeah, I stopped reading when you said Jonathan Stewart > Adrian Peterson.

I love Williams and Stewart too, but there really isn't any denying who the most physically gifted back in the league is. That doesn't mean he is the best. Just like Calvin Johnson being the most gifted wide receiver in the NFL doesn't make him the best.

cj, d-will, jackson, turner, gore, rice, stewart, mjd > peterson

You guys are being ridiculous. Williams, Turner, Rice, MJD, and Stewart are not better than Peterson. Johnson, Jackson, and Gore are the only three with much of an argument.
