Yea man, gotta stop that. Mine has been putting herself to sleep since she was a month old. My guess is if she wakes up at night, she needs someone to help her go back to sleep and will cry regardless.

it's true but my wife will not do that. I have no problem with it, I don't wake up in the middle of the night, only on the weekends. And a lot of times she will still sleep thru the night.

and my wife refuses to let her go to sleep on her own so we have to rock her to bed. I think that has something to do with it too...

Yeah, that'll do it.

My boy stopped taking the boob around 3 months, so she pumps and we bottle feed.

Also, we just had to put him down whether he was ready or not and let him cry himself to sleep. Sucked at first but now he's on a schedule and goes to sleep no problem.

We give him a jar of stage 3 food and a stage 2 veggie followed by crunchies and a wagon wheel for dinner each night. he'll take one more bottle of boob juice about an hour after that and then he's ready for bed

I know what you mean. My slacker half didn't want to do things I knew were needing to be done until the kids doc confirmed that she was full of poo poo.

well she asked the doc and the doc said rocking her to sleep is fine because that's what she did. so that didn't help lol.

and its better then paying 150 a week for daycare

that's cheap from what I hear.

Your wife works weekends and nights? ;)

But yeah, you and your wife will have to work out "taking turns" to cover each other's sleep patterns...

Gone are the days of sleeping until 10:00 or 11:00 on a Saturday or Sunday, and in are the days of getting up at the crack of dawn and being spit up and peed on from time to time...

I equate it to my college days... hahahahahahaha

i haven't slept past 9 in probably 4 yrs. i guess it's just the way i'm wired. even in college i'd stay up till 4 partying, and be up at 11. 6 to 8 hours of sleep is all I've ever really needed.

If she is not going to breast feed, you guys can take turns on getting up and can still get 5 hour of sleep at night. That's what we did. He never slept in the bed with us and was in his own crib, sleeping through night at 9 weeks.

You just gotta treat them like a woman and make sure they know their role and they live in your world. Things will work out fine.

    • Dude... you're just all over the place. You're the one who said T-Mac is better right now than Chark was at his best.
    • When I say "average NFL WR", for me, that's comparing him to all WRs in the league during that season/span of time.  He was of course better than those #4-6 WR's that can't even get on the field, but talent/ability wise, he probably wasn't any better than a #3 WR for most NFL teams, he just happened to be on one of the teams in 2019 with even worse WR's so he put up solid stats for the season. Here's more or less how I'm looking at it. Take T-Mac right now and Chark at his best, put them on every NFL team at this very moment, and where would they fall on the depth chart come Week 1 (basically, the teams that don't put the rookies at #1 to "make them earn it in camp" don't count, it's projecting week 1 depth charts). T-Mac would be at worst the #2 WR on the majority of teams this season, (hell, he's likely our #1 at this very moment right now already), peak Chark would not.  Yes, T-Mac still has to prove himself at this level, but his current ability, even as a rookie who hasn't played a snap yet, would have him above Chark on any team's week 1 depth chart. Because again, you can't just fall back on "well Chark had a 1,000 yard season" and use that as the reason for having him above T-Mac.  As he didn't have that 1k yards because he was a beast, it was because he was the only halfway decent receiving option on a bad team that was always losing and passing the ball (the Jags had the 7th worst scoring differential that season).
    • We clearly need to add a veteran stopgap at safety one way or the other.
