Family vacation to SC

Looking forward to it, never been to SC.

Few days in HHI, then a few more in Charleston.

Got a truckload of sunscreen and a minivan rented.

Should I bother with the water parks are are they gonna be a zoo minus the animals?

I avoid the waterparks because of all the fat yankees that come down and go to them.

Well, my family would be thin yankees, but my kids love them so much we can hardly avoid them these days.

Have a bunch of restaurants selected, we are big fans of cuisine exploration.

A bit expensive, but nothing like the Redneck Riviera. Lots of great golf, plenty of stuff for kids to do, great restaurants, uncrowded beaches, etc. I think Michael Jordan still has a house there.

I think I mentioned it in your other thread, but if you want the best shrimp 'n grits the city has to offer, you've got to hit up SNOB (Slightly North of Broad). There's another newer restaurant behind SNOB called The Buccaneer. It's pirate-themed, so the kids would probably dig it. Don't get the wrong idea, though -- it's all done in a very classy way, and the food is very good as well.
