Winners

Beason - Put on a clinic

Williams - looks sharp

Connor - Looks like Morgan lite

D-Line - So far so good, did not look awful like expected

Sutton - Had the nicest grab of the day on a fade route for a TD.

Losers

Tony Pike - looks roughest out of all QB's

WR's - lots of drops/picks today

Edwards - dropped 3 punts in a row. ?????

I can't say I didn't expect Edwards to perform poorly at punt returns (actually I've been saying that for quite some time). He's just not accustomed to doing it. I worry that this is going to be another year where we've got lots of guys who seem to have potential returning, but no one really steps up. Maybe Witherspoon can be that guy.

I'm actually getting a bit excited about seeing how Beason does at WLB with Connor in at MLB. I would never wish Davis gone, but it sounds like they're going to be okay.

It's still early. I'm hoping the bad reports are just a case of shaking off the rust. And I think Armanti Edwards gets a pass (or catches one - get it?) for a little while as he's still schooling a new position. Let's see how it looks in a couple of weeks.

Certainly, I really didn't expect him to make a difference as a returner.

If you remember last year, everyone thought Goodson would excel there; he bobbled his fair share as well. Same with Munnerlyn.

Sutton may be okay with kick returns, but I wonder who will handle punt return duties.

Everything happens for a reason. Hopefully the positive that comes from the Davis injury is that Connor becomes a force in the middle. If it goes SLB/Connor/Beason does Beason still wear the helmet with the transmitter down the road? Most teams have an ILB wearing it, no?

    • I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats win it all or at least get there. Maye is awesome.
    • Young quarterbacks Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and Bryce Young have led their teams to undefeated records since October.   Drake Maye has guided the New England Patriots to a 5-0 record in that period, with 2,285 passing yards and 17 touchdowns in nine games. Bo Nix has directed the Denver Broncos to a 5-0 stretch, throwing for 1,976 yards and 17 touchdowns, contributing to a 7-2 overall start. Bryce Young, in his second season, has led the Carolina Panthers to a 4-0 run since October, accumulating 1,390 yards and 11 touchdowns amid a 4-4 record.   Undefeated QBs since start of October (min. 4 starts)   Drake Maye 5-0 Bo Nix 5-0 Bryce Young 4-0   Bryce Young when asked about his mindset during game winning drives: "You don’t rise to the occasion you fall back to the level of your training."
    • 1. Cowboys-No explanation needed. 2. Rest of NFC South equally. If I had to pick I would say Falcons.    3. Eagles- Both of the games I have attended there the fans were so horrible. The fan base is so ridiculously misbehaved, I’ve never seen such immaturity. 4- Lions- I have cousins in Michigan that grew up Lions fans and they are some of the most obnoxious people I have ever met, as are all of their Lions buddies. The NFL has been lucky that Detroit has been in the cellar for its eternity.    5. Tie between Bears and Vikings. Both act like Steelers, Cowboys, Niners fans do with nostalgia and legendary seasons but neither have ever really had them. They act like they each won 5 super bowls in previous decades but never accomplished poo outside of Chicago in 85.
