Has an Athlete fallen quicker than Tiger Woods?

Golf is so, so mental... right now he's screwed up in the head. Tiger was never great off the tee or even from the fairway for that matter... he's always been a bit wild. It's just that he used to be able to chip and putt his way out of things... now he can't.

He was arguably the greatest putter of the ball ever... that's gone for now.

I'm so sick of hearing about Tiger Woods and hearing reporters ask him about his "image." How many times does he have to say "I'm spending time with my kids and I'm not going to talk about my personal matters" before people start to STFU.

Everyone used to want to talk about his golf game, now all anyone wants to talk about is his private life. He's taken enough of a hit for it and people need to just drop it.

I was embarassed for him when it happened, thought he owed his fans, the people who have invested money in him and his products an apology/explanation. He gave that, no matter how poorly executed it may have been. But it's tough. He tried... now let the man play some golf.

But no, I can't think of an athlete in recent memory who fell quite as hard and fast as Tiger.

But that's the whole point isn't it? People say "just let him play golf..." and that's what he's doing... there was a whole segment on him this morning on SportCenter, and all they talked about was how poorly he is playing... not his personal life, but in all honesty, what has caused this poor play? It ain't people and the media talking about him... it's his mental state right now, which obviously is directly linked to his personal problems.

Right but I mean even when he was at St. Andrews you heard the media asking if they were going to see a "changed Tiger" and wondering what it would take for Tiger to regain his image. I think, honestly, he'd recover quicker if that wasn't all everyone wanted to talk about. From my standpoint, he's done about all he needed to do publicly and whatever is going on between him and his family at this point should be reserved for grocery store check-out line magazines.

Certainly not in a press event at a Major in the birthplace of golf. Some of the media at these tournaments are becoming paparazzi-ish in their constant digging for things he's openly said were private matters.

He said in an interview 2 days ago I think that he wasn't practicing as much, and "[he] shouldn't" because he's spending time with his kids and that's what is most important to him.

I guess another part of it was this unrealistic expectation that he would come back playing like the number 1 golf player in the world.

I honestly don't like them talking about him constantly but not because I think they're invading his privacy or whatever, but because he's just one of the many golfers out there... I've made it no secret that I've never cared for Tiger and that's a big part of it, his "image" that the media has always so played up...

Yeah, he's arguably the greatest golfer ever, but he's far from the best role model and person that's played pro golf. There are so many other guys (Phil, Tom Watson, Anthony Kim, among others) that are SO much more interesting than Tiger.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
