Is it bad? (work related)

I got a new job 2 months ago and I'm already using 2 vacation days. Some people tell me I shouldnt of done it. Is it unusual?

90 days is a good rule of thumb before time off and such but as jbro said, if you talked before hand don't sweat it.

As the new guy, come in humble and hungry and be eager to learn. Hob knob with the vets and score points there and stay under the radar.

Stuff comes up cant help that. Main is to keep your nose clean and do your job. When I got my new job I had to have some time off in August I pretty muched told the manager when he hired me I would need it off. As long as you dont use alot of vacation time and not hard to work with it will be fine. But try not to take to many off in the next 6 months.

When I got hired, my boss asked me if I'm planning on taking a vacation sometimes this summer. I told her that I would in August so she was kind of aware of it a while back.

In these times, I rarely do anything to call attention to myself, as I know there are hundreds of applications in my boss's desk.
