Not NFL ready.

This, he was much too young to be thrown into the NFL....he should have stayed for a year and matured both on and off the field but he came from a tough family situation and needed the money to help out at home....

young. better competition. a pretty tough offense to come into as a young WR. A young #2 is going have a hard time hanging in this offense. Spreading a defense out with a great passing attack probably makes the transition easier on other teams I would think.

Or USC's offense was just on fire....

Jarretts 65yd TD was absolutely busted coverage by the safety. To give up 205yds receiving and just attribute it to "being on fire" isnt what happend. Yes USC played well, but I dont see that safety from Michigan in the NFL still playing.

And just how did a safety get locked onto Jarrett, who was the USC #1 WR? Where was Michigan's #1 CB in coverage? Doesn't appear to me to be a safety blowing the coverage as much as the entire defense missing assignments before the ball is even snapped.

Leon Hall you mean.....he's a pretty good corner, looks like Dwayne just beat his man that day.....

You give me the awful impression that you didnt watch the play. Leon Hall was the #1 CB on him and the Safety was playing bracket coverage. The safety is to play deep on him while Hall takes anything underneath. Obviously the saftey got torched, which is why he was trying like hell to catch him.

You're talking about one play though, both Dwayne Jarrett and Steve Smith beat their man all day....

Specific to that play, yes. But my point was to the entire game knowing that Smith and Jarrett were both owning the CBs, how on Earth did Michigan think their safeties could cover them? There is no way Michigan should have ever let the CBs cover under with no speed over the top with Smith and Jarrett going wherever they wanted to.

But I'm a USC homer and watch every game I can and even knowing the situation Jarrett is in now, it simply cannot be denied he had a great college career. Too bad it hasn't matriculated to the next level.

      I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.

      Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!

      Inappropriate relationship with a team staffer, followed up with some stalking behavior, and ultimately a felony home invasion charge from a visit at her apartment that culminated in him threatening her life and his as well.
