How many of you still have faith in Fox?

I've been thinking that Fox has reached his ceiling of success for the past 2 years. It's clear that his conservative philosophy will only get us so far and will not produce a consistent winner. This should be a very interesting offseason, but I don't foresee the necessary changes to make us more than above average at this point.

What Fox has going for him is that there are plenty of franchises out there that have had it far worse than us. He keeps the Panthers competitive and in the hunt. We have to live with the occasional egg on our face and not having a championship, yet.

I only wish to see a more agressive team. More agression on D and O. We seem so passive compared to Pitt, Baltimore, Indy, etc, etc, etc.....I an envious of those teams that just "Bring It"

He needs a killer instinct. He's a great coach, but his lack of a killer instinct harms the team.

The only thing I have faith in now is that he'll guide the Panthers to at least 7 wins a season.

I was thinking something the other day:

Fox is a GREAT coach for what he is. He is what he is. I am convinced his style is much more oriented on finding a lot of talent, rebounding a team, and making them playoff caliber. He is not the best coach for team motivation and gameplan, but can build up a pretty damn good squad of players. He is a "turn around" coach. Not meaning to compare, but he is a similar type to that of a Bill Parcells minus 2 Super Bowls.

A team like the Texans, Bills, Packers, or Broncos could use Fox, we need a guy who can go out consistently every Sunday with a staff and team he picked and get decisive wins on our way to the Super Bowl. This year was our best opportunity to do so under Fox and I just don't see us recovering immediately...something needs to be done.

I do....we still finished 12-4 and won the NFC South.

If the Panthers finish anything less than that next season with the talent we have then yes...maybe I will be yelling for his head.

i know ive already said this on another post. but hes to conservative. when im sittin on my couch watching the game i can predict what play hes about to call. just imagine how easy its gettin for teams that study tape on us all week

does 12-4 really matter when the loss comes to a team that was 9-7, and their upcoming opponent was 9-6-1? i want a championship. not a high seed.

My only issues with Fox is that he puts too much faith in and feels like he's obligated to the players even those who underperform. Ken Lucas should have been benched on more than 1 occassion. Tommy John Jake needs to be gone next year along with Mikey T our defensive Co. that will be the focal point for me having faith in John Fox.
