Panthers will trade for a WR...

I think there's a 0.0% chance they would trade either DWill or JStew at this point, but I could see them putting Sutton on the block.

Why oh why did we not offer zona a 3rd round pick for Boldin...

It was not the pick....it was the money.

Given that we are a run-furst and defensive team, I don't think you will see The Panthers invest big dollars into two WR's. Sad to say.

i really doubt houston would give up all that potential in jacoby jones for a guy whose no doubt solid at everything, but he's not exactly the kind of runner they need in houston. houston needs jstu. andre and kevin walter arent getting any younger either.

whats wrong with lafell? you guys gotta remember that this is the first time lafell armanti and gettis have ever matched up against a team of real NFL quality players. in addition, steve smith is going to pull a big chunk of coverage away from whoever is starting opposite him, things will get easier...

Its looking more and more likely to me. The obvious downfall of this squad this year and years to come is the lack of a legit receiver not named Steve Smith. No one likes to talk about it, but Smith is on the downward slope of his career. He will be losing a step from here on out starting last season.

Apparently drafting a WR is not our strong suit to say the least.

The only logical next step is trading one of our RB's for a WR.

It is hard to rationalize keeping 2 pro bowl caliber RB's and one extremely good RB (sutton) on the roster when we have zero depth at WR. None.

With Fox's status being up in the air....JR isn't gonna let them deal a RB for WR aid this season. If he is likely gone....they are gonna let the new guy make the big moves.

Would be nice to trade Sutton to Green Bay for one of their WRs. They locked up Driver/Jennings and have Grant as their only reliable back. They also didn't touch on a RB till later on in the draft or pick up any free agents, so the spot behind Grant is wide open. Although, I'm sure it would take more than Sutton to pry James Jones or Nelson from them but man that would be cool to make them pay for the mistake of cutting Sutton.

Yup, that seems like the only logical explanation... but it may have also had something to do with Boldin's attitude.

Why is everyone freaking out about wide receivers??? None of our receivers played that many snaps last night, and if you're going by what the announcers said, (them stating that none of our receivers showed any flash last night), then you need to slow your roll. It's the first preseason game. A game that means nothing more to coaches and players than evaluation. Small steps to big ones. If this were the 3rd preseason game, then yeah, run all down their throats. I happen to believe that Jarrett will earn, yes, earn the starting job opposite Steve Smith, and Kenny Moore will be our slot guy. I wouldn't freak out just yet though... don't understand what any of your problems are. But believe it or not, Jarrett showed up last night... his plays were called back because of Gross, but he still showed up.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
