I couldn't watch the game tonight, but could someone elaborate on Edwards' play as a WR tonight?. I felt as though last week he played ok, didn't stick out as good or bad, and the kid has some athleticism.

I didn't really pay much attention but he found a way to get open when Clausen was scrambling (due to poor O-line play) and caught a pass for decent yardage. For some reason, just this one play impressed me quite a lot.

My belief is that Edwards will come around in a year,or so.

Meanwhile it would be nice if he had a mystertype injury so we could stash him on the IR,thereby freeing a valuable roster spot.

game planning hasn't been the problem. If he can't catch punts in the pre-season he can't do it in the regular season.

He's a developmental player so it's silly to panic right now. But trying to downplay the preseason to nothing is as equally silly. If they aren't executing well in the pre-season that does mean something.

Matt Moore hasn't thrown a touchdown this pre-season. And has lost 2 games as the starter.

He was 4-1 as a starter last year.

I thought it was about the same last year? Especially after the Arizona debacle; everyone was expecting a nice bounce back, and when it didn't happen... ugh.

the 0-4 preseason and 0-3 regular season start prob made it worse. guess it wouldn't be the huddle w/o ridiculous repeat threads and fire/cut ____ threads after a disappointing outing. just comes w/ the territory

So far IMO Nelson is the worst second round pick I can think of to date.... I get the feeling that the second round pick that will likely be VERY high that we gave to the Pats for Edwards will take the crown.

I was referring to Armanti Edwards. He's not catching the punts well, and he's taking his lumps learning a new position. It shows in the preseason and it will show in the regular season. Game planning doesn't make that better.

Jarrett wasn't getting open but he was showing good hands. That will probably continue in the regular season.

In these terms of executing on the individual level the pre-season is going to be an indicator. On a team level is where it's not as accurate because of the game planning.
