Anyone playing this, what do you think? Very similar to the first one. Gamespot gave it a 9.5 I think that is a bit much I would give it a 8.5. There are some nice new features but they took LAN away, pissing off the competitors.

Another knock on the game is it is the first installment of three separate games all going for $60 a piece! I got mine on eBay for $45 and am pretty happy with it, is anyone else playing? I am loving the cooperative mode...

Yeah I have it and have been doing the co-op too. I don't know how to add people or anything though

A) Probably the best RTS ever released, deserves a 10 in my book

B) Yes there will be 3 $60 installments, but each will have a full single player campaign with around 30 missions which focus on each race instead of having 10 for each race like SC and BW had so this really isn't something to complain about. I'm sure we will see new units in the expansions as well, we already know they put the models for firebats, vultures, medics etc in the game so I'm sure we'll see more of the same for toss and zerg.

Don't have the game. Remember the original, and expansion. Was so much fun to play, specially on networks. Made me impatient waiting for the second one, that eventually I gave up waiting. At this point, id prolly have to do some computer work to even get mine capable of running it.

Couldn't begin to guss how much time I had on the original.

I am waiting for my code now but you guys can add me splatterhous

Played 4 trials since last week, so I have 28 hours into it already.

Starcraft 1 is easily the most balanced, competitive RTS to this day. It is also my favorite real close to WC3 but it just beats it. SC1 is a pure blood of true balanced micro managing. Now days I prefer TB Strategy games, but Starcraft will also be the best (multiplayer) strategy ever.

I am not all that great either, I was a SC1 master a long time ago but I had a T3 connection at the university and a nice PC. Not that SC1 needed it and as a matter of fact SC2 doesn't either. My settings are all on low and I don't lag or have bad FPS at all, that's running on a i3 laptop with 512 ATI mobility. If you have at least 128 video and a dual core PC you can run it just fine I am sure. Blizzard is known to take computer specs into account when creating a game making sure those who have a computer a few years old will still be able to play great on lower settings.

I wouldn't pay $60 for this game but if you can find it around $40, and have either never played it but enjoy strategy games or really liked SC1, it can easily be worth $40 of fun. If you hated SC1 don't bother...

PROTOSS (or w/e) ftw

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
