Two Chiefs assistant coaches told the Kansas City Star that they expect Herm Edwards and his staff to be fired as soon as Tuesday.

New GM Scott Pioli will want to bring in his own man, possibly Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Please let him come to Carolina!

Lots and lots will shake upthis off season with the amount of changes. The "final four" looks strange this year compared to recent past and that has sent a rippling effect throughout the consortium of ownership.

Why weren't we one of those newcomers?

Why didn't we make it back?

There is no telling what is going to happen not only with coaches and their staffs but even the key players they developed relationships with. Lots of news this summer. Yeah for ESPN.

Unlike most of these boneheaded threads where people suggest people that would never come here, Herm actually COULD come here. Him and Fox are very tight.

I mean, he practically had Lucas kicked off the team in '05 for criticizing how the Herm Edwards-coached Jets laid an egg against us and quit.

OK, you guys are no help, so I looked it up.

He's never been anything more than a defensive backs coach before becoming a head coach, which he has not done well at.

This season, his defense was 31st in the league...check it out before we all jump on the Herm-Wagon.

Herm was a player. That demands instant respect from the players and then he is a great motivator as well.

As a head coach in KC Edwards has had a lot of issues to deal with on his team.

But any man who's opinion is -- YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME-

Can be my DC any day of the week.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
