Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

QB: Moore, Clausen

RB: Williams, Stewart, Goodson (KR)

FB: Fiammetta

WR: Smith, LaFell, Edwards (PR), Martin

TE: King, Rosario, Barnidge

C: Kalil

G: Wharton, Bernadeau, Robinson

T: Gross, Otah, Schwartz

DT: Leonard, E Johnson, Tyler

DE: Brayton, C Johnson, Brown, Hardy

MLB: Connor (only one here because Beason is the backup)

SLB: Anderson, Williams, Norwood

WLB: Beason (Anderson is the backup)

SS Godfrey, Francisco (special teamer)

FS Martin, Pugh

CB Gamble, Marshall, Munnerlyn (KR/PR), Wilson

P: Baker

K: Kasay

KOS: Carter

LS: Jansen

Inactives (for any particular game one of these will be added to the 44 man roster above, quite possibly at OL)

QB Pike (due to Edwards being activated we will not have an emergency QB)

RB Sutton (inactive unless an RB gets hurt)

WR Gettis

WR Guy

T Williams

DT Landri or Irvin (we only carry four; due to DE depth and ability)

SS Hudson

CB Stanford

PUP List: Thomas Davis (not sure if this takes one of our 53 roster spots)

If Moore and Clausen are both injured it will be direct snap to D-Will and using Edwards as an athletic QB.

Following up (sorry to be so late, been busy).

My Active 45:

QB: Moore, Clausen

RB: Williams, Stewart, Sutton - Goodson will likely be active week one since Sutton is nursing an injury

FB: Fiammetta

WR: Smith, LaFell, Edwards, Martin - expect Jarrett to be active in place of Edwards

TE: King, Rosario, Barnidge

C: Kalil

G: Wharton, Bernadeau, An Outside Pickup, Robinson - Robinson to IR, replace the outsider with Duckworth, pretty much nobody saw that coming

T: Gross, Otah, Schwartz

DT: Leonard, E Johnson, Tyler - allowed that Landri might beat Tyler for the active spot; definitely didn't see Tyler being cut

DE: Brayton, C Johnson, Brown, Hardy

MLB: Connor (only one here because Beason is the backup) - Harris might be active as a special teamer

SLB: Anderson, Williams, Norwood - as things stack up now, Norwood may wind up inactive

WLB: Beason, Senn (if his ankle is okay)

SS Godfrey, Francisco (special teamer) - Hudson instead of Francisco

FS Martin, Pugh

CB Gamble, Marshall, Munnerlyn, Wilson - McClain got the nod over Wilson and fellow rookie Stanford

P: Baker

K: Kasay - add Carter here, deactivate Norwood to make room

LS: Jansen

My 8 reserves:

QB Cantwell - guess Pike's upside was enough to beat Cantwell after all

RB Goodson - active over Sutton per injury

WR Gettis

T Williams or an outside pickup (possibly Petitti but I doubt it) - put him active since the team only kept 8 uglys

DT Landri - Nick Hayden made the roster but probably goes here as inactive

DT Irvin - disappointing, except if you're Andre Neblett

SS Hudson

CB Stanford

My practice squad choices are:

QB Pike - no practice squad QB at all this year, at least not now; an extra guard in Dan Santucci instead

RB Vaughn

FB Jackson

WR Guy (or Gettis, depending on the outcome; I still think it's possible Guy becomes an IR stash)

C-G Davis (or an outsider) - Shawn Murphy

DT Neblett (or an outsider) - Corvey Irvin

K Carter (if he isn't kept) - LB Sean Ware instead

CB whoever loses the final spot between McClain/Stanford.

Biggest shocks: Obviously the departure of Tank Tyler and the retention of Andre Neblett and Tim Duckworth. If I were them though, I wouldn't get too comfortable once we get past the "veteran guarantee" week. Duckworth is probably the one who should worry the most.

Also surprised to see a John Fox team keep six receivers. I had 'em keeping all but Jarrett. That's another one that could still be fluid, mind you, but I'm still betting that if vet help is on the horizon, it's for the Uglys.

Overall, only about ten or eleven misses as far as the final roster (a few of which, as mentioned, were out of the blue). Some resulting changes to the active.inactive list as a result. More hits than misses, which is all I'd hope for.

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
