Jamie Dukes dumps on Panther's offense

none of them were Jamie Dukes except the last one. he doesn't think Matt moore is the answer because he hasn't watched him. the last time he commented on the Panthers he didn't even know who our QB was. so how can he comment on him?

Fine. If Sunday ends up looking like a 5th preseason game please come to this thread and apologize to Mr. Dukes.

Re #1 it is totally relevant in week 4 when Moore is stinking

Re #2 I agree. i think we have hidden our offensive plan well and may surprise the giants. Although draw plays on 3rd and long probably will not surprise anyone at this stage in Fox's career

If Moore plays like Jake did week 1 through 3 of last season he would be pulled.

Dukes is an idiot. I believe Rod Woodson called him out last year when he was talking about Moore (and pretending he was some bum). Woodson threw all kinds of facts and proof that he (Woodson) actually watched games/players he was going to talk about Dukes was dumbfounded someone called him out on his bs and anti Moore spin. He had no response to Woodson....

"Offense has pro-bowl guards and two first round draft picks at RB...for the offense to be where it is speaks to the quarterback...I don't think Matt Moore is the answer" (paraphrased)

How is saying an offense with Smitty, Otah, Stewart, and Gross being where it is speaks to the QB when none of those guys made any impact on the preseason, which is what he was commenting on?

(I know Gross played but it was limited and he was clearly rusty)

Im getting soapbox here for a sec, for the record, yea I get pissed when people dog my team, but I try not to be a homer. I respect the guys that have facts, stats, etc, to backup anything they say, especially on a national stage, but it really pisses me off when these "analysts" who get paid to know what they are talking about---football, and do research. hell they have stats guys that will look up anything they need to know. Use it, you shouldn't be able to go out there and say "this team sucks, goodnight" and go on about your business. its BS.

I remember that one....laughed my ass off.

Dukes was spewing his typical poo. woodson threw out QB rating...record...stats...etc Dukes looked like a deer in the headlights and said ....I still don't believe in him.

Woodson asked why...and his answer was basically "just because".

Woodson owned him that day.

Ah i see your problem. I think I can help.

Jaime Dukes is not an analyst. he is a former NFL player. And not one of the smart ones like Steve young. He was an O-lineman. For the Falcons!

Former NFL players are often "hosts" not analysts. Ron Jaworski calls himself an analyst and does a good job. joe buck is good. Even madden would give you some insight in his own way

I wouldn't use Terry Bradshaw's analysis if i had too.

We may also be 4-12 and lose the division.

No one knows.

Fact is, an offense that looks as abysmal as the Panthers with an unknown at QB, how could anyone expect any kind of commentary other than what was said.

We really do not know what Matt Moore will do. He is no longer the relief QB, he IS the QB, and in a QB driven league, he's an unknown. Seems to me, whole lot of difference in being the relief guy and being 'the' guy.
