Jamie Dukes dumps on Panther's offense

We may also be 4-12 and lose the division.

No one knows.

Fact is, an offense that looks as abysmal as the Panthers with an unknown at QB, how could anyone expect any kind of commentary other than what was said.

We really do not know what Matt Moore will do. He is no longer the relief QB, he IS the QB, and in a QB driven league, he's an unknown. Seems to me, whole lot of difference in being the relief guy and being 'the' guy.

I tend to base my evaluation of the offense when the entire offense was playing.

Preseason...we had no Stew...no Smitty....no Otah. We also were doing nothing but evaluating our young WR's.

You are correct that no one knows...we could be 4-12 and we could be 12-4.

Dukes has proven time and time again that he is a Falcons homer and a blowhard.

Wonder if he is saying the Cowboys will suck this season...their offense looked about as bad.

the issue was never if he was right or wrong

just that he is uninformed. and he is. that isn't debatable.

whether he was right or wrong is, and I think he's wrong. Some of you "fans" think he's right.

whatever

Agreed.

There are many experts out there who are picking us to be a 7-9 team and finish third in the division. They acknowledge the strong running game and the way the defense is playing. However, they do have reservations because of the youth on the team and a relatively inexperienced QB. Their analysis is well founded and relevant.

Dukes says that the Giants get a 5th preseason game....

See the difference.

I will admit, the QB position worries me A LOT! I know he was 4-1 last year but lets see how he handles it when team are actually game planning for him. He has looked very confused in the pocket when it starts to collapse, which has been A LOT this preseason! Last year he looked poised in the pocket; I hope that look returns when the games count! We shall see in just a few more days!

Don't get me wrong MH, i can't stand Dukes, he is no fan or Carolina probably dating back to his Falcon days.

But, I would say, no matter the reason, just my opinion, if anyone is not concerned about the Panthers Offense, well, I'd have to question that.

Many teams struggled in preseason, the Colts among them, but, the Colts have Peyton Manning, we have...well...I guess we will see. Make no mistake, i want Moore to do well.

I guess the next 4 games will give a clearer view.

and Ill say there is a difference between having concern and freaking out. Sure, I am a small bit concerned, but the thing is, I can't get past not having 3 very important players on the field. It makes a difference I won't get past that. I want to see the whole team on the field at the same time.

I watched him up close in the preseason and he made a bunch of bad throws. If he had the stats below and looked crisp I would feel much better. He missed quite a few open guys. We played good defenses and who knows what kind of handcuffing schemes we were using.

4/7 32

6/17 52

18/33 190

28/57 274

The concern that I have about our offense in that we start out slow...like we have the past few seasons. We seem to come out of the gates slow and then start clicking after 4-5 games.

We have a stout OLine...great running game...a WR corp no worse (prob no better) than the past few years. If MM does not turn the ball over like Jake did, I still think we are a 10-11 win team.

The one silver lining in the preseason was that Moore did NOT throw int's. With the weapons we have and the way the defense is playing, if MM does not turn it over we will have a good chance in every game.

I thought he did thrown an INT??
