The concern that I have about our offense in that we start out slow...like we have the past few seasons. We seem to come out of the gates slow and then start clicking after 4-5 games.

We have a stout OLine...great running game...a WR corp no worse (prob no better) than the past few years. If MM does not turn the ball over like Jake did, I still think we are a 10-11 win team.

The one silver lining in the preseason was that Moore did NOT throw int's. With the weapons we have and the way the defense is playing, if MM does not turn it over we will have a good chance in every game.

I hope we dominate b/c I have a long list of people whose faces I will be rubbing it in. Stupid C.O. bitches.

i hope all you guys are right. but i just dont see us going to from an abysmal offense to a top 10 offense just because we get smith, jstew and otah back. i mean we made a little history this preseason. one of the only teams not to score a offensive touchdown in the last 14 years!!! i mean can you get any worse than that. that means our 1st, 2nd and 3rd stringers couldnt score any points. that means the rams, bills, browns, raiders outscored us. i dont care what gameplan and handicap you use we should have at least had 1. people act like the carolina panthers were the only team missing guys on offense. (our 1st team offense by the way) or the only team keep the playbook small. This should concern us at least a little!!! i expect us to be better when those guys come back, but i am not expecting a miracle. i dont have high expectations for this year, i really just want our young guys to get experience this year.

no one said anything about top 10, we don't need to be a top 10 offense. our Offense will be anywhere from 12-15th because we have a strong run game. last year we finished 19th with Jake Delhomme as QB for most of the season. you can't downplay not having big impact guys on the field. I'll say it again, teams have to stack the line on us, or we will run all over them. Steve Smith has to be covered, and if our receivers can't get open, we have 3 capable TEs with sure hands, and RBs that can catch. Im not saying we will light it up, but we can score.

Everyone needs to remember that this preseason was the most meaningless one from a stat and win-loss standpoint that any in Carolina history.

We have a ton of new and young faces on this team. The plays we were running were to evaluate specific things...not to win games. This, combined with the pieces that were missing gives me optimism.

I am not saying that the switch will be turned on and we will be a Top 5 offense immediately. However, what you saw in preseason will NOT be the offense that you see starting Sunday.
