question for beer enthusiasts...

anyone ever had southeast asian beers?

few are actually imported to the US... Singha (the most popular Thai brew) is available in a few restaurants and specialty (usually world market venue) stores. i was in southeast asia last year and had an opportunity to sample a number of different local brews and a lot of them were absolutely fantastic. a couple of the thai beers like "Chaang," most popular in northern thailand, were pretty potent, great body, great aftertaste, the works.

i'm headed back to thailand, and then laos, in a couple weeks for my honeymoon. anyone got suggestions of beers to try, or any experience with SE Asian brews?

Never messed with most of those, mainly because they all seem to be run-of-the-mill lagers. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't drink them much anymore.

Lion Stout, however, is a pretty awesome beer from a brewery in Sri Lanka. You don't typically think of stouts when it comes to Asian countries, but that one is wonderful.

You can find it here at World Market or Total Wine for about $8.99 a six-pack, if you're interested. Sorry I don't know more about that area's beers.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
