I've actually had some employees there who knew what they were talking about, but yeah, it's more of a coincidence than the standard.

really now that we live in the information age how hard is it to do

that's exactly what i do before i go shopping most of the time, and it works well. i usually don't need help to find something. it's easier than expecting people who get paid poo for what they do to know whether or not they have any single thing in the store

I only buy things from best buy on the rare occasions when they have a deal that's better than whatever newegg is offering.

I guess I've just always done this (asking employees) off routine from the good ole' 90s. Still do in Lowes/Home Depot, Costco, etc. etc.

Its not that I can't find it myself, I enjoy giving people a job to do rather than having them stand around looking like their doing something.
