he had 2 picks and and is a hard hitter im more concerned about marshall he played horrible

Godfrey's picks are never the result of his coverage. They are either poor throws or deflected balls.

He is a saftey and can't handle basic coverage assignments and can't make open field tackles. That has been consistant since his rookie year, through last season, and into today.

Marshall didn't have a great day. But he wasn't Godfrey level bad. His PI was actually a smart play....sometimes you get beat and prevented something even bigger from occuring. One of the plays you are blaming on him was probably that huge one where again....Godfrey didn't provide the help.

Cut Stewart, he only had 12 yards. Cut Gross, he gave up a sack and got Moore injured. Cut Moore, he got injured. Cut Lafell, he dropped a pass. Cut Fiammetta, he got a penalty. Cut Smith, he only had 75 yards, should've had 175. Don't mind the fact that Godfrey was an important part of the 4th ranked pass defense in the league last year or the fact that he is turnover-causing machine (Oh yeah, those int's were tipped so he should have just let them hit the ground instead of catching them), he had a bad game so cut his ass. Cut everyone who had a bad game. Looks like we'll have a three-man squad with Connor, Hardy and Goodson.

Whoever said Godfrey should be a CB... WTF?! I know he played CB in college, but the Big 10 is a run happy conference.

He can't cover and he's slow, so he should play CB??? The only positives I see out of him are that he has a good nose for the ball on the tip drill and he's a solid tackler when he realizes that the guy running towards him has the ball. I'm convinced that he had no clue Bradshaw had the ball on that big run. I mean, there's no way he did. He didn't MOVE.

Slow? Godfrey is far from slow. And who knows how his coverage skills are. He's never had a chance to play CB here

And are you insinuating that he's better off a S than CB?

Yea.... ok

I'm insinuating that he's better off on the bench. He's not a starting caliber NFL DB be it at FS, SS, or CB. There's a reason why everyone was listing him as a safety going into the draft, he doesn't have the hips to play CB in the NFL. Unfortunately, he's evidently too damn dumb to play safety.

I'd put this more on the coaching staff than entirely on Godfrey. Didn't appear to me that anyone in the secondary was prepared. Missed assignments, blown coverages, poor tackling...all of the guys looked dazed and confused.

Ya I think the coaches should play since they are responsible for the execution of plays!!
