Fox Says: Moore Still the Starter

Question for the Clausen bandwagoneers:

What happens when Clausen looks like the rookie he is, throws some picks, takes some sacks and finishes a game with a 40% completion rate and the Panthers lose... what's the next step? Will we start seeing Tony Pike threads?

That can be expected from a Rookie! But he has yet to be made to look like one. Moore on the other hand looks like trash!

The exact same number as having a center that could actually get him the ball.

Anyone that watched any of the preseason games should have been able to see this coming.

All of the "wait till xxx is back" talk and "preseason means nothing" is just laughable

YES!!! One thing I find utterly missing from this forum is perspective! Plenty of sarcasm and pictures but no perspective! I guess that's to be expected from the average football fan. It just gets annoying because you can see the lack of talent in one QB you get deemed to be on the bandwagon of another.

Moore didn't just outplay Jake, he outplayed nearly every starting quarterback in the league over the last several weeks of last season.

He obviously has potential, and one game shouldn't mean he gets benched. He needs to work on some things, but he should at least have until the bye week before he's benched.

I also wouldn't want Jimmy to come in behind this offensive line..

Why not start Clausen? Look at how Sam Bradford did yesterday

Bradford averaged 4 yards a completion and threw 3 INTs to go with his 1 TD.

Clausen is a better quarterback than Bradford. Not more skilled, but better.

I would love to see Clausen next week but obviously won't be upset if Moore is healthy enough to start. Moore is still the starter. That said, the excuses some of you guys are making for him are downright pathetic. His 2009 record is absolutely meaningless now. "His" team has played awful for five games straight.

Now let's not get ahead of ourselves here. On a lot of his throws he had time. Most of the time his throws were either off target or he was making bad decisions and trying to force the ball into coverage, well lets be honest here, not just coverage but TIGHT ass coverage. I actually started to think our OLine was letting guys through to sack him on purpose just so he wouldn't throw another pick. Totally unacceptable all the way around.

Matt also played some of the worst D's in the league at the end of last year. And there wasn't much game planning for him. We see what happens when a team prepares for Matt to start
