Asked about Moore and if he is ready to go for Sunday: status uncertain

Asked if Jimmy is ready for Sunday: Yes, cause a backup QB is always one play away

Asked what he thought of Notre Dame this year: Impressed thus far.

Meaningless interview, but i thought i'd recap for those that missed it

Poor Matt. He doesn't stand a chance if he doesn't come back this Sunday.

After his interceptions it was so obvious all the national media wanted was for him to get out and Clausen in. All the camera shots of the OC face palming, Clausen on the side-line looking like he was torturing some Giants CB with his stare. The media wants us to promote this guy bad and are making Moore's performance against the Giants a bigger deal than Delhomme's performance against the Cardinals.

Judging by some posts on here, it worked.

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see Jimmy on the field either and it will certainly get the Panthers some media exposure if Jimmy turns out to be who we all hope he is, but I just feel for Matt in the position he's in. I have a feeling he will not make it to the end of this season even if he comes back and plays a good game.

He will have to be damn near perfect. If JC does get the reigns, I just hope he is the real deal. Cause if he is not, and after 4 games we have to go back to Moore....that's going to be ugly. Real ugly and it will have killed Moore's growth to boot.

    • I've been iffy on Canales till now but this season has put me in his corner. He certainly still has areas that need improvement, but I do believe he can be "the guy". Admittedly, what I had hoped for was a chance to see Canales with a different quarterback. That particular scenario now looks to be, at the very least, a few seasons away. Gotta say also that we'd be remiss to have an offseason discussion and not reference Dan Morgan and the front office. What I see from there (especially since the addition of Brandt Tilis) is starting to look pretty positive. Here's hoping...
    • He is certainly durable for his size I'll give him that. Whether or not he'll actually carve out a Doug Flutie kind of career remains to be seen. He has the benefit of playing in an era of the league that many former QB's would envy let's be honest. I think it really comes down to his desire to continue to overcome adversity and work on his craft. Whatever happens to conclude this season he will certainly be here next year and my hope is that he enters the upcoming offseason highly motivated to build on any progress he's made. The last thing we need is a repeat of the last 3 offseasons.
    • Yeah, don't ser how I missed that. Sorry, @Mr. Scot
