Canes vs preds 7pm

Difference is Saros played a hella game and Canes just couldn’t connect with passes in front of his net.

He is a leaps and bounds better goalie than Bad Koochie. Bad Koochie is basically Spencer Martin.

We just have to find a way to get Good Koochie back before it's too late and we wear Freddie down having to start 100% of the playoffs.

Bad koochie is probably worse than Martin IMO because bad koochie it gets in his head and he makes insanely risky plays looking for highlight real saves.

Edit

Well rod fugged us on that he should have pulled Koch after goal 3 against the kings it was blatantly obvious it was a bad night, but nope he let's him sit in there to allow four more goals, its what killed raanta after that 7 goal Tampa game he was mentally fried, hes now also done it to Martin  Kochetkov and Anderson (Anderson is the only one I'm fine with he literally just bounced back with two shutouts after it happened) but Anderson is a cool head large positioning goalie.

I'm guessing we will have to ride Anderson in the playoffs until he's burnt out now.

Damn near every top goalie in the league has had a stretch (or 2) of games like these this season. As long as it doesn't turn into a slump, I don't think we have anything to worry about.

In the past, Kucci has let bad games stick with him too long. But, he's still a young dude. And, his game has matured this year in almost every facet. So, let's hope his mental game has matured as well and he can put this stretch behind him.

Vasy for the Bolts has had game like that this year and he is still one of the best. Two years ago, Bob for the Panthers vs Vegas game 4-5 let in 8 goals. This is how we need to look at it vs shitting all over this team. Just enjoy it. I’m having to learn that the hard way myself.

Darcy Keumper had an 8 goal game earlier this season. Even Hellebyuck has had multiple 12 goal 3 games stretches this year.

    • Disclaimer:  In June, I am usually optimistic.  In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop.   Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough.  So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense?   If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8.  Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5.  If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points.   This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better).  Bryce is confident and now a leader.    The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid.  We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety.  Derrick Brown returns.  While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better.   So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more.
