Thoughts on Peppers

Earlier today I read a report the bears are keeping peppers on the field. Like 93% of plays on the season peppers has been out there. Just watching peppers this season he looks alot more aggressive than last year. If I remember correctly peppers seemd to not be out there with the will last year like he is this year. He looks like he is out to prove something. Just my oppinion but letting peppers go has really started to show. Not sure what other people think?

Well whenever you give away a player of peppers calibur, there will be a noticable difference, especially when youre replacing him with a backup calibur player.

He may have been burned out, sometimes change rejuvenates people, and being a new member on a team, you have to earn the respect of your new teammates, even for a player like peppers.

People argue that we should have kept him, but he wanted out, he didn't want to stay in Carolina, especially if we were just going to franchise him, he wants a long term deal, just like any player in the NFL, never know when you might play your last play.

I hold no ill will toward Pep. Knowing what we know now, can you blame him for wanting out? Will you blame DeAngelo if he walks? I won't.

I just wished they actually called the holds against him when he was with us. He got two flags thrown on GB OLs on that drive than blocked the FG. I ain't hatin'. The guy is still a helluva player and I wish he was still here.

He wasn't kicked out, meaning its his decision. yes I blame him because its his decision- he wasn't kicked out. but really, i dont care anymore. he didn't want to be here good riddance.

I'm just saying knowing what we know about this team and the refusal of the owner to spend the money to be competitive essentially mailing this season in, do you blame a guy who is nearing the end of his prime for seeking out an opportunity to play for an organization that is trying to win NOW? I can't say that I do. I'm not so sure I wouldn't have done the same thing myself to be honest.

Packers' OT just false started afraid of giving up the safety sack against Peppers.

    • With Schoen and Dan Morgan being tight I’d figure we knew this was coming and since he is released, Dan didn’t bite.    But, a quick search says this is at least 80% cap related. They have No cap space and save 8 or 9 million with releasing him.  He has been a captain his entire time there. 145 tackles this year.  They are picking 5th with a new staff and looking at Styles. Hitting that age 30 season and had a disc issue last year (meaning 2024) that did not require surgery.  I haven’t really watched him play but he activated the antennae.
    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
    • These refs are horrible.  They definitely got money on this game lol.
