The REAL reason we are the worst in the league

If we're "going young" why not put Guy and Edwards on the field?

Truthfully I don't think that this team is far from being a winner at all. Ron Meeks defense is playing great. The whole issue is the offense as we know. I'm sure you guys are tired of hearing this  but if this offense of ours (Smith,DWill,JStew,Goodson, our OL, TE's and Jimmy Clausen) was in the hands of a guru like Gruden or even Weis, we would be very dangerous.

I think our offense being stuck has more to do with the owner and the coaching staff feud IMO. Fans and PSL owners are caught in the middle. Also Jerry's chest thumping has hamstrung the entire season for the team and the fans.

Its a shame that I can't wear a Panther jersey in this city without having to answer for them Choosing to suck!

I didn't take the time to read the whole novel so I may be out of line here, but did the OP rant about shuttle times equalling explosiveness and then later say you can't judge players by combine drills?

Also, we are the worst team in the league because we just picked up David Clowney, who has been cut by the Jets twice now, and without even having read a page from the playbook he is our best WR suiting up Sunday. And we're excited about this. Nuff said.

The bottom line is poor drafting and poor coaching. Fire every one but Meeks and start over. The offensive draft picks we have hit on were more luck than anything else. The defensive draft picks have been marginally better. The talent evaluation and position specific coaching/training/injury rehab(prevention) of this team is the worst in the league. There is no excuse for DT's that we drafted and cut, to be starting for other teams. If I were the owner I would fire someone on the spot if that happened. No excuses!!!!

We have the talent to be a playoff contender but we are the worst COACHED team in the NFL.

It is very simple and the reason I said we would be bad this year. Too many inexperienced players, not enough seasoned veterans, too few playmakers and not enough depth for a good rotation on either the offensive or defensive line. We can make plays but not enough plays or when it really matters. In fact every team in the league has more experience in the league hence why most folks have us ranked dead last. Anyone who didn't see it coming doesn't know as much about what really matters in football.as they think.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
