Steve Smith Rumor *already dismissed*

Agreed. I was listening to the show on my way in today and Glazer never said anything about the Patriots doing that. He said if he was Billicheck then he would. Wayyyy different. He said it again on his live chat on foxsports too. He said Smitty must be very frustrated and if he were Smith he'd beg to be sent packing.

So allow me to recap this thread. If Jay Glazer was BB, he'd want SS. If Jay Glazer was SS, he'd want BB. Luckily for all of us Jay Glazer is Jay Glazer, so none of this has any merit.

This is why I started the other thread, saying as much, but it was closed. I

am a little hurt by this...lol...The culprit mod snould apologize and give me some rep to make me feel better. All this misdirected, wasted space.

Why do you want the Cardinals assistant head coach as our next coach? THE CARDINALS?!! Thats like getting Jeff Davidson (as HC this time) all over again.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe because he was the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line Coach of a Super Bowl winning Steelers team, he was one of the three finalists for the Head Coaching job of the Steelers when Cowher left. He also appeared in a Super Bowl as the Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line Coach/Running Game Coordinator with the Arizona Cardinals.

Oh, and he's in the Hall of Fame.

they have the picks and I know it is hard for some to hear it but I would do it. We ARE a rebuilding team and we need as many picks as we can get...bash away at me

I'm not even gonna lie. I wouldn't mind it, because I would like to see him post some more great numbers before he retires. He deserves to play with an above average qb for once in his career.

The Patriots stockpile draft picks like this every year and end up looking like geniuses. But as soon as you mention doing the exact same thing they do, trading an aging player near the end of their career, 90% of people on here freak out and say no way unless its for 10 first rounders a dozen pro bowlers and a new stadium blah blah blah...

Lynch has a much more attractive contract situation and was traded for a 4th and a conditional (5/6th I think) pick. I don't see how you get 2-3 rounds higher for Williams at 27 and in need of a new contract.

Because Lynch has also been a very average running back thus far, and he's a risk for suspension at any given moment.

D-Will, on the other hand, is a top 10 or top 5 back, who has yet to get into any trouble in the NFL.

I don't think we'd get a 1st or anything, and I don't even think we should trade him anyway, but to think he's not more valuable than Lynch simply because Lynch saves you some money is crazy talk.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
