New Panthers WR Clowney a quick study

i called this weeks earlier in my thread titled "shock thread" ......i said we would sign a WR off someones practice squad and he would excel in our offense...so i called the first part..wait for the a few games to prove me right on the second part

Him being on the field should draw some attention at least. We need some kind of deep threat out there.

We already have deep threats. Gettis and LaFell have both gotten behind defenses this year. What we really need is somebody who can work those short routes and get some YAC on 3rd and 5. That's all I want to see out of Clowney and this offense. If they can just move the damn chains, the running game will open up eventually.

I'm excited to see what this guy can do, I'm not expecting him to be the thing that turns this team around completely, but I will definitely be paying attention to 87 on Sunday.

Incorrect. He was waived to start the season and then resigned.

Agreed. All he really needs to learn....is the playbook, which isn't a hard study IMO

You mean third and 4 or less. As long as Fox is our coach, if we need more than that on third down we run a draw play.
