to all those opposed to trading D-Will if we get a decent offer. Remember a guy named Julius Peppers? Remember how everybody was so PISSED we just let him walk without getting anything in return. Well D-Will is just gonna walk after this season if we do not trade him before the deadline. He wouldn't want to play with this s#*& for the rest of the season and nobody can blame him. Also, with a stable of good backs, there is no way JR is gonna pay D-Will to come back.

D-Will is my third favorite player on the Panthers (behind Beason and Smitty) but truth be told, if we do not trade him for say a second, then we will watch him walk after a 4-12 season... and that may be optimistic! I know it sucks to trade a superstar for an unproven player, but an unproven player is better than nothing... again, see Julius Peppers.

Im not sayin, Im just sayin

Yes, and I would love nothing more to resign D-Will... Ever think he would want to

A) play for a team with a chance of winning some games and

B) Make the kind of money the Top Cat just doesnt pay?

... But yeah, thanks for your critical sarcasm, perhaps if you had actually read the post, you would have seen there was no need for it.

do we have any reason to believe:

1) dwill wants more money than jr will give him?

2) dwill wants to play elsewhere?

if not, stop saying "TRADE HIM NJOW FOR VALUE!11!!!" grah. It's not like Moss where the dude was like "Yeah I'm gone next year", nor is it like Peppers where he refused two huge deals and had to be franchised to keep him (after saying he didn't want to be a Panhter anymore). TOTALLY different situation as of right now.

    • General tone of the thread. Probably shouldn't have quoted you directly. Not to mention, this White kid has a career 6.8 Yds IAY. Bryce is 7.7. That is not even an upgrade in targets down the field. It's literally a downgrade.
    • The scope of the limitations is so far beyond long bombs. Nobody here is clamoring for us just to run straight up go routes on repeat. There are crucial throws defenses know we can't convert such as down the sideline that almost always result in either the ball going several feet over the receivers head out of bounds or the receiver having to leap into the air and make an acrobatic attempt to haul it in or having to completely slow down or stop. It's off the table and defenses know it and sooner or later we were going to walk into another buzzsaw like against the Patriots. Nobody here is in love with Hendon Hooker or Mike White. It wasn't us who made the decision to ignore the depth of the QB room two years in a row. You can whail at people for discussing it all you want. If you're bothered by the discussion then all up Dan Morgan and bitch at him about the fact we are having to discuss the likes of Dalton Hooker or White. It isn't our fault.
    • But we have the qb whisperer or so I've been told
