Stopped by practice today...

If you are that big and kick ass as Salty suggest, maybe you should go play RT against SF :)

I'm 6'6" and 300 lbs, but I'm also 38 and years of abuse on my knees, back, etc through football, powerlifting and strongman competitions have taken their toll.

You're much better off with Schwartz, trust me on that.

It's pretty encouraging to hear the good words about DT. Trying not to get my hopes up though but I'm secretly really excited about him. Don't tell anyone.

LOL, I'm excited about him as well - but I'm remaining "cautiously optimistic" because we've all seen and heard about guys who are studs in practice and duds in games.

Having said that... he's big, fast and can run routes and catch the ball so it's a good start.

I also forgot to mention that he spent extra time after practice catching balls out of the jugs machine by himself. He may be doing this simply to make a good first impression on the coaching staff, but that in itself is a good sign: he cares enough to try and make a good impression.

how would you compare him with the other WRs and did he look better with one QB over the other?

I was really focused in on him, so at the time I wasn't thinking about how he compared to the other receivers... but I noticed that he seem to run very clean routes, explode out of his breaks and make good aggressive catches (with his hands, snatches the ball out of the air).

so he looked equally good with whomever was throwing the ball, i guess?

Im so not a fan of switching QBs all season. I feel like we are getting into a Anderson and Quin type situation. You should stick with one guy win or lose.
agreed. i forget about that one. i remember well denny green going back and forth between warner and mccown. quite a few times he wouldn't announce who was starting until right before the game. that didn't really do anyone any good.

I'd say that's a fair statement since I wasn't really focused on who was throwing him the ball as much as I was focused on him.

I'm not taking sides here at all, but Moore looks good in practice - has from day 1 this year. That's not to say Clausen looks bad, but Moore is smooth, quick and the ball jumps out of his hand.

Yeah, I agree as well... at a certain point you have to pick a guy and stick with him (especially when your dealing with a rookie) but since neither of these guys have performed particularly well this year and we have a bye, I can also understand why they are still giving both of them the opportunity to take the job at this point (although performance in practice has never been a problem for either one of these guys).

    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
    • I like Icky but he was the wrong tackle to take. Learning run blocking is much easier than learning pass blocking. Cross was pass pro ready. He was the tackle we should have taken without hesitation.
    • Never saw this angle of the Tyson fight either lol.
