Kolb is another reason Moore should start

wait Im confused.....When did a guy that was undrafted, and cut by the Cowboys who has nobody at QB ever have promise?

Kolb was drafted with the intent to take over the team after McNabb......Same as Clausen was drafted for us, Moore was picked up for a backup role the whole time

a young QB who was 6-2 as a starter in the NFL...that isn't promise? drafted or undrafted, 1st rounder or 7th rounder.....only thing that matters is play on a field.

now you are just picking and choosing stats

how about this year where he was 0-3 with under 45% completion, and 3 times more interceptions then TD passes?

Problem is with your theory is most QB with any experience usually come into the game and do not have many problems because not much game tape to be studied on the guy. (Perfect example Derek Anderson) Also, like another post said the Vikings were in a slump and if you remember correctly a lot of people said the Vikings beat themselves, not the Panthers beating them. Also, the Giants were in major turmoil within their own locker room. The Saints sat out everybody in that game

kolb also appears to have a future with the eagles & you can't say the same thing about moore

says who? there are trade rumors still going around....

bottom line is you can't play a young QB that has shown he play......for 1 or 2 games and let that define him to start a season. Philly and Carolina both handled there QBs poorly that they had opted to give the jobs to.

Not picking any choosing. You asked how did he show promise. He was given the starting job b/c he went 6-2 as a starter.

also, the Vikings nor Giants were in a slump. Both had beat teams down before the Carolina game (20 and 33 pt beatdowns).....and both were playing for something.

Reid >>Fox (especially with QBs). We are not philly. Moore is not Kolb.

Not really.

Reid benched McNabb last year.

Reid traded away McNabb for Kolb to take over.

one half of football Kolb gets the bench and Vick is the starter.

now,...who knows.

They lost the last 3 out of 5 games

Giants lost 8 out of the last 11

Dont get me wrong....I like Matt Moore, seems like a nice guy and a quality backup....but that is the key word, backup

And you accuse him of picking and choosing stats. At least his were real. Moore only started 2 games this year so the 0-3 might apply to Clausen not Moore. Plus at the time he was benched he had 2 TDs and 4 Ints. At least get the facts right,

As for last year, Minnesota wasn't on a slump. They were 10-2 when they played us and going for home field advantage with New Orleans and had everything to play for. They had won 5 out of their last 6. If that is a slump I wish we were on the same slump right now.

As for the Giants they were still fighting for a playoff spot. Thir loss to us really sent them into the toilet. If they had beat us they could have righted the ship.

As for New Orleans, we didn't play all our starters either. Williams, Smith, Otah and Gross were out that game. So our offense was depleted as well.

Seems to me these discussions would be more fruitful if folks actually looked into the facts before just writing stupid posts.

Kolb showed promise and was given the Philly job heading into the season. He like Moore looked like crap to start the season.....play that contradicted what was seen prior.

Kolb is back now, looking like he was prior to the start of this season.

Benching Moore was a mistake. Moore has proven he can play.....you don't bail on a young QB like Moore b/c of a couple bad quarters.

You are aware that Kolb and Moore are two entirely different people, correct?

oh ok sorry 0-2 with under 40% completion and double the int/td ratio, then he comes in to try and redeem himself and throws two more interceptions

sorry that makes him sooo much better

point was, they were not IN a slump before those games. Carolina helped put them in a slump.
