Brentson Buckner rips Peppers on WFNZ

Anybody hear Buckner on yesterdays Frank and Buck show. He lit Peppers up. I mean he verbally destroyed the guy. Basically called him out, said he was lazy, said the Panthers never held him back-he held his on self back, said I know I played beside the guy-he has no heart. I mean Buck basically said Peppers has no motor and no heart. He said he is an athletic freak but he is not a fighter. He said I had much rather have a guy who is 6'5" and 250 that runs a 4.70 and plays hard and fights and has heart than a guy like Pep who runs a 4.50 and is 6'7" and 290 and has no heart or fight.

Dude busted Peps azz.

Some time last week I heard him say something like.. if he were in a dark room with Pep he would sooner cuss the dark than speak to Julius. Not familiar with that saying but I don't think that was complimentary considering he went on to say he considered Pep just a guy he played football with and nothing more. He then went on a rant similar to what you just posted. No love lost between those two for sure.

It's whatever I don't care about the Peppers situation anymore. Did anybody see how the Dolphins did this year. They were a young team WITH HEART. That's what we need a team with HEART

Yeah, I saw how the Dolphins did. I also saw the Panthers finish with a better record and a first round bye. Both teams lost their first playoff game.

    • I think what makes a qb elite is when every week you think your team has a chance to win because of your qb. No matter who they play, they always make you feel like you have a chance. I have not gotten that feeling once while watching Bryce.
    • Great point!  The quotes from O'Connell about teams failing rookie Qbs and the one about how you coach them after 3 picks and a loss were really interesting.  To me, an idiot with a keyboard, it means NFL teams need to be patience if they are going to have quality QB play. So bringing me to Bryce, is there some benefit to being patient.  I know it's not a particularly popular opinion around here, and even I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it.  Most QBs, when benched lose their confidence.  It takes a LONG time to get it back.  Bryce on the other hand was benched, and came back a different player.  I feel like that's worth a lot more than the physical talents of a guys like AR15... I think Bryce has the mental make up to be a good NFL QB.  His problem will always be his tools.  Now it's on coaching to work around that.  Bryce is more physically gifted than late years Drew Brees (low bar, I know).   While I'm content to see what happens this season, there's a small part of me that says...maybe we should see what grows?  (let me duck and hide from the well earned vitriol the Panthers have earned). Then again, I agree that some guys get it while others just don't.  I'm still hoping for the Panthers and Bryce to find success this season.  But if not, I won't be too surprised if the plug is pulled and there is a restart.
