Now that we have a passing game..(sort of) will the running game improve?

There was a play in the first half when the 49ers literally had 10 people in the box. Davidson/Fox let Moore go a little in the second, and the 49ers couldn't stuff the box anymore, but we still really couldn't get going on the ground. Do you think with Moores performance today the Rams will respect Gettis and Lefell, opening up the run for us?

I do not think this game will cause them to play us all that differently, no.

If Moore does well again... we may start seeing different looks, letting our RBs get going.

Part of the problem is how we are handling formations & what plays we are running out of them. it is still somewhat obvious when we are going to run or pass, but it was a bit better this game at least

If we can stop fumbling the ball in ridiculous fashion we will be a lot more dangerous TBH.

No DC in their right mind would consider our rookie wide outs a legit threat after one outstanding game against a 1-6 team. The only thing that would change their game plans at this point would be the fact that the running game has done nothing to be considered a threat so far.

Let's put it this way: Moore showed he could move the ball through the air well enough last year. Did that stop defenses from stacking the box this year and forcing Moore to beat us with the pass? Nope.

Until we can consistently move the ball through the air week-in and week-out, I think most defenses are going to focus on stopping the run.
